We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaya Black and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaya, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
I see success as being able to support yourself by doing what you love to do, while helping others do the same.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I was in corporate America for twenty years, when one day my position was eliminated. I decided, that I needed to be self sufficient. I began internet selling in different ways. I decided that I needed to have several different streams of income. So I set out to figure out what I love to do (connecting people with their items) and Jaya’s Star Bazaar was born.

I almost never carry the same item twice. Everything we sell, from gemstone jewelry, to sage, stones, incense, orgonite and other magical finds, is geared towards improving your vibes and energy field.

I also take custom orders for wire wraps, special stones or items. Check us out in Social Media and on Etsy!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So, let’s say it’s summertime and no CoVid. We would check out Apres Diem for pre-game drinks and snacks The Glenn Hotel Rooftop for drinks MJQ for underground experience dancing Wed – Sat Soundtable Edgewood for House music Ponce DeLeon Rooftop for Putt-Putt R. Thomas for after-hours food Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My business runs thanks to beautiful artists all over the world doing what they love, so I may do what I love – which is bring you beautiful, vibey, energetically charged pieces.
