We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Legion and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jay, is there something you can share with us that those outside of the industry might not be aware of?
Oh its so many things to name a few, attention to detail little things can really throw an entire project off. the bigger picture is made up of these small details. Another thing is you don’t see the process of trail and error so many people think its easy when in fact its not. just trust the process failing is just another stepping stone to greatness. get comfortable with Chaos its going to be your partner the moment you first hit the record button til you decide to never do it again.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Filmmaking is a cool way to express yourself from a psychologically point of view, we don’t wake up and say i think “the people would love this type of story”, we just wake up and say “i wanna make this type of story” we dive deep into our thoughts and imagination and create worlds that don’t exist watching them form into reality before our very eyes. i’m proud to say i at least tried being a director or content creator as its being called today is a life changing experience. some people want to do this but are ether to afraid or intimidated by it. i got where i am today honestly by being humble and meeting great individuals along the way to teach me, I followed the path laid out for me until i got to a point i had to start paving my own way. once you know what you want for yourself everything you’ve learned becomes tools to help you achieve it. you know those sayings “when we look back on these days we will miss it” i doubt i will hardship is a understatement i put everything time, energy, money, heart , spirit and a lot of personal relationships on the line it wasn’t easy but i did it because i want to be proud of myself. Even tho filming is a passion I’ve learned its a business at the end of the day. people come to you real kind ready to work but in the end they are giving you money for a service.. so do what the service requires. I’ve also learned its difficult to trust everyone in this business so always be on your guard, lastly understanding my worth. If you ever look into my story judge me how ever you want perception is a power and i rather you see my truth, i don’t believe im the greatest at this because if i was what challenge would i have to continue. With No Ego i made myself from nothing to something while still continuing to climb and beat every record i set for myself. i just want people to be inspired by a story of a misfit who never gave up that’s all

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
