We had the good fortune of connecting with Jay Henderson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jay, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I started my podcast I was kind of worried about how we would fit into this huge market. I was so use to talking myself out of things that frightened me, but this time I had made up my mind; I’m gonna give it my all. And here we are one year later, steaming all over the world.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I got to where I am right now through hard work, dedication and consistency. It wasn’t easy because during my first month a storm hit our home in Maryland and we lost everything. We stayed in a hotel, where I used the hotel lobby to record some of my early work. But I didn’t give up, I prayed and trusted God and ended up in Georgia where we now stream in 3 regions of the world. Some of the lessons I’ve learned is

1. I’ve learned, that consistency is the driving force for success.
2. I’ve learned, that some people/things have to be detached from us in order for us to elevate.
3. I’ve learned, you have to have a winners mindset if you expect winner results.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My family was here a few weeks ago and it was EPIC! We started with a trip to six flags, we had plans to eat at one of my favorite restaurants (Elevations Chophouse) but our party was too big. Then we went to the Water Park for a day of fun and adventure, one of our favorites! And then we just kinda let them pick spots they wanted to try or places we don’t have back home.

I would like to dedicate this shoutout to my Mom (Evelyn Robinson) and my Dad, the late (Pastor Oliver D. Robinson Jr.
