We had the good fortune of connecting with Javonda Harrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Javonda, how does your business help the community?
Kinetic In Demand Solutions helps communities worldwide by providing relevant professional support to assist individuals in becoming more visible for opportunities, advocating for their careers, and positioning them as a top-qualifying candidate to increase their salaries. For years, Kinetics has served as a community career partner to build confidence within professionals and create effective career plans that lead to elevation. Through example and impact, the Kinetics team has elevated hundreds of professionals to secure new opportunities, salary increases of 15K+, and a healthy life/work balance.

What should our readers know about your business?
I have served in the corporate accounting space for 10 years. I have navigated from a staff accountant to an accounting manager. During my career journey, I have been able to identify who I am professionally, what I value within my career, understand the importance of my skills, and learn how to set boundaries to create a healthy life/work balance. From my journey, I have learned how to thrive within corporate America while maintaining a healthy life/work balance. This is what sets Kinetics apart from others. The narrative around working professionals has always been, “you can’t have a successful career and a balanced home life.” Specifically, as a working mom, I was presented with the “this or that” narrative of choosing between taking care of my family or climbing the corporate ladder. Within 10 years, I have challenged that narrative and created my own. I have successfully maintained a thriving career while being present for my family. I forward my methods and techniques to my coaching sessions to align, challenge, educate, and empower all Kinetics clients.

I am most proud of my impact throughout the community, especially the working moms’ community. I thoroughly enjoy seeing my clients celebrate career wins, from $30K salary increases to successfully completing career transitions, to simply having a healthy life/work balance and leaving/logging off of work at 5pm. Navigating corporate America was definitely not an easy task, but once I understood my career powers and value to organizations, I created my career brand and positioned myself as THE solution. My confidence went up because I learned my true value in corporate America. My resume would always tell a story that solved a problem, and during interviews, I articulated why I was the best candidate to solve the internal challenges endured while having the open position.

Along my career journey, I learned many lessons, but the top three are:
• Work should fit into my lifestyle instead of the other way around. My family is the most important thing to me, and my career will always come second to them. That is why I created the term “life/work balance” because life happens first.
• Career strategizing is an essential aspect of career growth. Without planning and strategizing, I was navigating my career with no control or destination. Once I began to map out my career goals and what career success looked like for me, I started seeing a significant shift and growth in my professional development.
• Network with a purpose. Networking can secure opportunities that “applying for jobs” won’t. I have been referred to multiple opportunities and have received many job offers due to networking, articulating my intentions, and pitching my value. I am always clear on my intentions and share my skills and experience with others just in case they come across an opportunity that aligns with my wants and skills. I usually am one of the first person they share opportunities with and make an introduction to recruiters and hiring managers.

As a career consultant and working mom advocate, I want to continue sharing how I have achieved my level of success and help others do the same. Therefore, I would like the world to know that I formed Kinetics and team to be intentional and hands-on in helping each professional achieve their career goals. If you need career guidance, support, or resources, please visit Kinetics at www.kineticsids.com. We got you boo!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Ok! So this is probably why my friends do not visit me in Atlanta (LOL). I will be honest; I hardly, NO, I never go out to explore the city life except once every blue moon. I am very much a homebody and enjoy a backyard turn-up and an in-home kickback over going out, so maybe the readers can share some of their favorite places to visit with me! I will say, I have formed a love for brunch, and my favorite brunch spot is, hands-down, Forks and Flavors in Kennesaw, Ga. This is a black-owned restaurant, and the owners and staff are down-to-earth, friendly, and professional. The vibe is welcoming and soothing, the food is delicious, the mimosas are a gem, and the turn-up is REAL LIT. Other than that, I am no help when it comes to exploring the city. ☹

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would first like to thank every client that has trusted the Kinetics team to help fulfill their career goals. Without our clients, Kinetics would not have reached the level of success we have grown to today. We operated off of client recommendations during the first few years of business, however, as time passed, we started generating more organic business due to discussions and testimonies related to our client experience, our hands-on techniques, and client results.

Next, I would like to thank the Kinetics team. Without them, their knowledge, and their talents in career development, we would not be able to continue our growth initiative to reach more communities to help them achieve their career goals. We are blessed and thankful for each Kinetics team member and client.
