We had the good fortune of connecting with Javier Santana and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Javier, is there something you believe many others might not?
“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” is one of the worst pieces of advice I’ve ever heard.

You need to constantly be monitoring your processes, tools, how you operate as a business and how the projects/products you create can be bigger and better.

This whole idea that if it’s working it shouldn’t be touched is what has led to the demise of companies like Blockbuster, Sears, and JC Penney (just to name a few).

Complacency is not an option when it comes to business, and you should always be changing, evolving and looking for better ways to operate.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The company I co-founded (Launch) is a Digital and Creative Services agency. We are a well balanced agency that cares for our team members as much as we care about our client-partners.

We create a bond with our partners and position ourselves alongside them at their jobs, so we remove the vendor/client mentality and become a part of their team.

But in order to understand what that means, it would make sense to share our brand manifesto:

We balance day people with night people.

Intensity with calm. Our love of technology with our love of creativity.

Because it’s our differences that make us stronger. Differences that balance each other and create a foundation for something more. Something greater.

We understand the duality of today’s challenges and tomorrows potential. Delivering results for our clients now while inspiring what tomorrow could be.

We are more than the sum of our parts. We are a balance of blue sky thinking grounded in solid strategy— culminating in curiously human experiences. Wonder is our creative mindset.

We’re Launch.

And we’re built for what comes next.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many great spots in Atlanta, but I like chill vibes, so I’ll give you my 10:

– Sunday Brunch (or any day) at Botica in uptown – killer dishes, great music and vibe. Super friendly environment and time passes fast.

– Little Spirit in Inman Park for a “single serving friend” cocktail or 3. Small little spot, but great music and vibes.

– Del Bar for excellent Persian cuisine and vino. Feels like it was plucked from NYC and brought to ATL – great vibes.

– Marcel in West Midtown for Steak and Wine (or Old Fashioned Cocktails). Excellent ambiance and great food.

– Ria’s Blue Bird by Grant Park for breakfast – home of the heavenly pancakes.

– DAS BBQ Collier Hills or Grant Park for the Best Brisket in town.

– Jojo’s Beloved in Colony Square/Midtown for pre-game cocktails.

– Amazza for excellent Napolitan Style Pizza and great cocktails.

– East Side Beltline walk to Nina & Rafi’s for Detroit Pizza and Amaro, then a few doors down to James Room for cocktails

– And Finally, Lyla Lila for an incredible dinner service and cocktails with vintage vinyl records providing the Jazz tracks.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
True Grit, Ambition and Curiosity are the keys to success in any business.

You always want to be a student of your industry, and think of ways to continuously evolve. I’m fortunate to have surrounded myself with a team that is has all of those qualities and more.

At Launch, our team is always eager to create excellent work for our clients, and that passion they have for their craft, plus the curiosity to understand how to always make it better is what helps drive our success.

My shoutout is to every team member at my company, Launch –– they inspire me every day.
