We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Suazo and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, what do you attribute your success to?
The #1 factor behind my success is my unyielding obsession to reach my fullest potential in life. Because of this obsession, I don’t focus on what anyone else around me is doing. Every morning that I wake up, it’s me vs. me. I’m always looking under my achievements to see how I can improve, how I can recreate myself, and how I can become a better student of my brand. My brand is my legacy – so it’s exceptionally important that people remember me as someone who consistently built a brand and a business without limits. I believe that limitations are wrapped in limiting beliefs. If I can dream it, it’s because I hold the power within to manifest it.

My success is merely a culmination of hard work, sacrifices, and taking risks. I won’t always get it right but who does?! I’m not aiming for perfection, I want progress. I want to leave this world void of purpose because I gave every piece of me to the things that matter the most to me.

That’s success to me.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I run a national life insurance agency {The Wealth Academy} and I’m also the host of #1 podcast for women who are ready to go from employee to entrepreneur {Girl, Fire Your Boss}.

As a business owner for 4 years now, I’ve certainly had my share of ups and downs. In the beginning, most entrepreneurs are fueled by passion and forget that they need a plan. I was no different….I didn’t have strategy or systems when I launched my agency, BUT I was 100% clear that I wanted to be in a credible, recession proof industry. I started my business during a time where the most attractive opportunities where inside the real estate industry, credit repair, and let’s not forget that Forex trading was the new kid on the block. NO ONE, and I mean NO ONE was checking for the life insurance industry and I LOVED THAT!

I didn’t know how I was going to make money, but I knew that If I prioritized learning the industry better than anyone else, if I served my target audience better than anyone else, if I had an experienced business coach, and If I consistently recreated myself – that I would not only win but eventually, I would dominate in one of the most lucrative industries in the world. Those are the biggest lessons that I’ve learned along my journey.

I’m mostly proud of the men and women who have duplicated the success that I’ve had. I always measure a leader by how many other people are winning alongside them. Our agents are making real money, making a real impact, and changing real lives. 40% of our agents have been able to quit their jobs and build their agencies full-time. I started my life insurance agency in 2018 with only 2 people; and have grown my business to a multi 6-figure company with over 400 licensed agents across the country.

What makes my business different from others is that I don’t run a personality-driven business. Our business is operated on a system. We have SOPs for EVERYTHING! While there’s a huge emphasis on personal development and healthy competition, we have built a professional business where success is predictable. You won’t find that anywhere else. The newest agent has a personal interest in helping us achieve our collective mission because no one is bigger than the team.

Since launching my business, I’ve met thousands of women who have all asked how they can fire their boss like me. That’s why I started my podcast {Girl, Fire Your Boss} in 2022, I have a very similar business model. Before launching, I studied the top performing podcasts, hired a podcast coach, and social media manager. I understand that Girl, Fire Your Boss is evolving into so much more than just a podcast.

I want the world to know that Girl, Fire Your Boss will be the #1 podcast and coaching program leading The Great Resignation for women of color. There are so many barriers preventing women of color from firing their boss and building the life of their dreams no one else is working to serve these women in transition and help eradicate those barriers. I am here to serve that group of women. I will help women build profitable, sustainable businesses by bringing together the top experts in systems, marketing and operations, branding, legal structures, and any other critical area in business.

I’ve endured many challenges and accomplishments since building a business and now I want to help millions of women achieve financial independence. We don’t need to compromise our integrity, character or purpose. We can and we will have it all.

Signed,

Your Chief Firing Officer

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shoutout to my mother, Yvette Streeter. My mother isn’t a woman of many words, but she is a woman of many works. With no college degree, no rich parents, no affluent network – she worked her way up to one of the most prestigious positions within Social Security Administration. I’ve never heard her complain about the pressure of success. She’s always believed in me and supported my decisions. I have been blessed to have incredible mentors in school and in business but no one comes to close to my Mommy. She retired at the age of 54 and immediately went into servicing her community. She’s the definition of strength, resilience, and consistency. I am who I am today because of her love, guidance, and example. This one is for my favorite girl in the world – the woman responsible for my existence. I love you Mom.
