We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Simone and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
In the business of pursuing my dreams of becoming a successful fashion model and actress, I have experienced several setbacks, which sometimes made me think about giving up. I am blessed to have a dedicated support system and that is what helps me to continue to persevere. My family are my biggest cheerleaders, and they always motivate me not to give up on myself and to never give up hope in God. I call on God for peace and clarity about my career and many times He will send an answer through a complete stranger, who knows nothing about me or my passion. That alone gives me the strength to keep striving for success.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My passion for modeling is a goal I will never give up on.  I take  my art very seriously.  I am very pleased with what I have accomplished so far in the world of modeling. This experience allowed me to critique my skills. Two of the greatest achievements was being featured in the Empeccable Magazine and making the cover   and participating in the New York Fashion week and having the opportunity to model for some of the best fashion designers.  I am not sure if I am set apart from anyone, but I am very focused and determined. It was not easy at time, but I continued to practice my modeling techniques.  I participated in as many fashion shows and modeling competitions as I could, until I developed my art.  I am my biggest critic and I worked extra hard to reach my goals of perfection. In this business,  I have faced many disappointments and challenges, but instead of burying my head in the sand,  I was motivated to continue to rise to the occasion.  I want the world to know Jasmine Simone as an International Super Model, a Leader who represents beauty and the owner of Strut Industries. I am here, and I am here to stay.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Monday- Cheesecake Factory for dinner Tuesday- Broadway Diner for great breakfast
Wednesday – J. Christopher for brunch
Thursday- Nikko’s for dinner
Friday – Thumbs Up for great brunch
Great entertainment – show at the Fox Theatre; the punchline comedy club ; 10 high club for karaoke;

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, there are other organizations I would like to shout out to, who helped to get me started and allowed me to participate in their fashion shows. *Atlanta Photographers Network (APN) for all the Photoshoots they allowed me to participate in which built up my portfolio.

*CT Fashion Magazine for selecting me to be a print model in their magazine.
*Walk Fashion and Taste of the Runway for allowing me to participate in their fashion shows.
