Meet Jasmine Holman | CEO/Founder JanetMarcella LLC

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Holman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jasmine, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
The idea for JanetMarcella first came to me around 2018. I’ve always been deeply connected to the metaphysical and spiritual aspects of life, and I was already creating my own cleansing scrubs both for my energy and skin. These scrubs helped me remove negative energy and restore balance, but at the time, they weren’t specifically geared toward skincare. As a busy mom, I often found it challenging to make time for myself. I love affirmations, burning candles, incenses, and using crystals, but sourcing these items from different shops was time-consuming. One day, while hiking in Kennesaw Mountain, I had a realization I wanted a single kit that combined spirituality with skincare, something that would leave me feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and seen.
I wanted to create an experience that not only nourished the skin but also renewed the spirit. That vision led me to expand my knowledge of skincare and merge it with my passion for energy cleansing. JanetMarcella was born from this desire to offer products that help others prioritize self-care, embrace balance, and feel empowered in their daily rituals.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
JanetMarcella is my art crafted with care, intention, and purpose. For over five years, I’ve dedicated myself to mastering formulation, ensuring each product aligns with my belief system and the core mission of JanetMarcella. I created a self-care experience that allows you to reset, restore balance, and pour back into yourself.
What sets JanetMarcella apart is its deeply personal foundation. Named after my grandmothers, Dr. Reverend Janet Hopkins and Marcella Holman, the brand embodies the wisdom and strength they instilled in me. It’s more than skincare it’s transformation, a love letter to your body and spirit. I know what it feels like to question your worth and struggle with self-love. JanetMarcella is designed to help others break free from limiting beliefs, embrace their value, and cultivate self-care rituals that nourish both skin and spirit.
I’m incredibly proud of the growth of JanetMarcella. Every detail has been intentional, like an artist perfecting their craft. I built this brand from the ground up without a blueprint learning, researching, and evolving along the way. Watching my progress as both a creator and entrepreneur has been one of the most rewarding parts of this journey.
My path to entrepreneurship was unconventional but purposeful. I worked across various industries, often feeling out of place, unaware that each role was preparing me for this moment. Those experiences gave me the skills to step into my role as CEO and founder of JanetMarcella.
Building this brand hasn’t been easy. Learning the technical side of business, scaling a company, and turning vision into execution has been a challenge. But if you want to create something impactful, there are countless steps, lessons, and moments of trial and error.
One of my biggest lessons has been patience with myself and the process. I’ve learned the importance of stepping back when hitting a creative or business block, allowing space to reset and regain clarity. Most importantly, I celebrate my wins, no matter how small. Progress deserves recognition.
What I want the world to know is YOU MATTER. You are valuable. We all have a purpose, and self-care is an essential part of recognizing that. JanetMarcella is a reflection of my personal journey. My goal is to create space for people to prioritize themselves, even if it’s just five or ten minutes a day. Life can be chaotic, but grounding yourself in self-care brings clarity, confidence, and balance.
At its core, JanetMarcella is about releasing what no longer serves you and embracing your highest self. It’s about giving yourself permission to be seen, feel worthy, and show up fully. Because when you do, you step into your power and that’s where true transformation begins.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If you’re visiting me in Atlanta, the first stop on our itinerary would be The Battery Atlanta. Not only is it close to home, but it’s the perfect place to soak in the vibrant energy of Truist Park, home of the Atlanta Braves. With a variety of eateries, shops, and entertainment, it’s a great spot to walk around and take in the experience.
Ponce City Market, a must-visit destination with its iconic Food Hall offering diverse culinary delights. For a more eclectic experience, I’d take you to Chattahoochee Food Works, a food lover’s paradise with a variety of vendors and unique flavors. I love trying new restaurants more than hitting the nightlife scene, our itinerary would be packed with amazing food spots.
If we were in the mood for a night out, Edgewood would be a solid choice, offering an array of bars and restaurants with a mix of atmospheres. I’ve also been meaning to check out The Basement, known for its themed nights and unique music vibes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to give a huge shoutout to the Season 17 cast of The Blox, as well as my Blox bestie and fellow entrepreneur, Kenneth McLaurin. Being a part of this show and connecting with such incredible entrepreneurs each at different stages of their business was an invaluable experience. The energy we poured into each other created a space of mutual growth, knowledge, and understanding. Meeting Kenneth was especially impactful. Not only does he also live in Atlanta, but he has his own dermatological natural skincare line, and his journey has been truly inspiring. He has been incredibly generous in allowing me to witness his brand-building process firsthand, offering invaluable advice, guidance, and unwavering support both emotionally and mentally. This experience has been a major turning point for JanetMarcella, giving me the confidence and clarity I needed to push forward. The connections, lessons, and support I gained from The Blox have been truly transformative, and Im beyond grateful for this journey.
