We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Bryant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Ever since I was young, I’ve always had an entrepreneurial spirit. This caused me to find creative ways to make money since the age of 12 such as selling snacks at school, creating body creams, jewelry and the list goes on. In May of 2020, I completed my graduate program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling which helped me hone in on my natural empathic, supportive, and resourceful way of being. Becoming a therapist has been one of the best career decisions I’ve ever made.

Joining my professional counseling training and my entrepreneurial spirit, I launched my own private counseling practice, In Tune Creative Counseling, and a self-care subscription box which can be found at itccsubbox.com.

These avenues allow me to utilize my natural gifts and be my authentic self while making a positive impact in the world.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Earlier this year, My partner and I launched a quarterly self-care subscription focused on mental health, self love, and supporting small & black owned businesses. Each box is thoughtfully designed and includes 5 products and/or activities, handpicked by licensed therapists to increase mindfulness, self-love and over all wellness. Additionally, we select wellness products sourced from small & black owned businesses that produce products ranging from aromatherapy, art therapy, mental health products, beauty/skincare, and exciting lifestyle items. Products change each quarter so you will always be in for a surprise! We started this business in response to the increased mental health issues and negative impacts on businesses during the pandemic .
Here’s our website: ITCCsubbox.com

Our mission is to educate subscribers on the benefits of routine self-care, promote overall wellness from the comfort of your home and connect our customers with business owners, where they can experience products and activities within and outside of the box.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friends are full of love, life and laughter and we can make the simplest activities so memorable.

We would definitely explore restaurants to indulge in unique cuisine and cocktails. Next we would do an activity to get us moving like horse riding, iFly (until we are ready for the real deal), exercise our vocal cords with some karaoke or take a mini vacation, within their vacation, to the beach to get on the jet skis!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Having a genuine support system has definitely encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and to dream big! I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my business partner, Lasha Bynum, my supportive friends such as T’kiyah Outlaw (Owner of TKO Total Events) and Winnie Thompson (COO of Books n Bros), my family and my colleagues in the counseling field.

Lastly, but certainly not least, to my fiancée for believing in me like no other and encouraging me throughout the ebbs and flows of entrepreneurship.
