We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Branford and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wrote a self-help book called MILLENNIAL INVASION to build my personal brand and in the midst of me selling books and hitting goals, many people had a common question. “Jasmine how did you write your book”? Then people would tell me that they wanted to write a book, so I decided to show people how to self-publish a book.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started out in the network marketing industry where I got my 1st taste of business and became more of an extrovert. I thought I wanted to become a computer science engineer until I got into MLM and learned so many skill sets that can lead you to financial freedom. It was never a dream, it was never an idea. I just always knew I had to be better than what my parents accomplished, this is when I began to fall in love with business and this is when I wanted to start getting control of my freedom. While being in the industry I applied the skills, but I still wasn’t getting the respect that I deserve. So, I got tired of hunting people down and convincing them so in reverse I decided to write a book to start building my brand. I honestly didn’t know what all would come with the book, but it was actually one of the best decisions I could have made in my entire life. I’ve made some amazing connections and I’ve been able to help others self-publish their book and to hear their testimonies is life filling. I’ve always wanted to be a speaker and my goal was to transform lives so today I’m actually doing both and changing lives by helping others self-publish their book and tell their story.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well me and my best friend’s love to travel so if my best friend came for an entire week even if they came to my city, I’m still booking us flights to go and leave the country. We can start with something simple like the islands of Jamaica, but I’ll rather take them to Egypt and go on a real adventure! We are going to eat cultured food, especially good fish, and some good chicken lol and plenty of rice, can’t forget the rice. As far as drinking plenty of water, very little alcohol. But please know that we are bringing an outfit for every occasion so we can get a lot of pictures for our lifestyle branding. I’m the type that will do all the tourist attractions but I’m also going to connect with those who can show me a really good time. Sometimes I hate feeling like a tourist, so I’d like to do my own thing and travel as if I was already a civilian. So yes, we will see the pyramids, we will do a little shopping, yes, we will experience all of the tours but most importantly we are about to meet some real Egyptians and have a party!
