Hi Jarrod, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Simply put the progress of my students if they don’t progress and Excel and succeed that I haven’t done my job. My mission is to make them better each day inch by inch step by step. Their growth is my gain

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I was asked by my principal to start a program based on entrepreneurship and career awareness. At that time there was nothing I could use or research or even a resource for kids that were in kindergarten to second grade. So I created it myself and for the last 7 years I have watched my students grow, create small businesses and even earn profit based on their endeavors that I have guided them through and taught them.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The first place would be fresh treats. They have some of the best food in the city. I will hang out at Apache cafe because I enjoy live music and live bands. Thumbs up is a great option for breakfast and a place in college Park called Noodle has some incredible food based on Thai fusion cuisine.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out my school Kindezi Gideons Elementary for having the mindset to begin a curriculum for elementary kids based in entrepreneurship.
