We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaroe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaroe, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to provide a place and an atmosphere where Christian artist could come and record their music without the uneasy feelings that I, myself felt when I was recording at other studios before starting to record my music on my own. My previous experiences are what fueled my desire to open up my own recording studio and be a help to those seeking to display they’re gifts and talents of music.

What should our readers know about your business?
Gudfella Studios is a Christian based facility that caters primarily to the Christian Artist. We are a “One-Stop” shop studio. So anything from photo shoots to album cover art, we can connect you with a network of people that can assist you with those needs. What I am most proud of is that I get the opportunity to help the creative minded individual come closer to they’re dream of making music.

I wish that I could say it was easy for me to be where I am today with Gudfella Studios. This business journey was and still is a challenge at times. Sometimes you get more no’s than yes, but I’ve come to an understanding that it comes with the territory. What I have to offer the world is not for everyone. I had to learn quickly that the competition is real and that no one starts a business to lose. Every business wants to win. What has helped me to overcome the many challenges I have faced in business is my faith in God, the faith that others have in me to be successful and the positive feedback I receive from satisfied clients.

One thing that I have learned over time is that success is work. It doesn’t happen overnight Some people make it look easy because they’ve been doing it a lot longer than others.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love to eat so I would take them to Red Crab. Oh My! The seafood is phenomenal Especially the fried catfish. Downtown Greensboro or the Mountains in NC/Tennessee (Gatlinburg) are beautiful places to visit Or Ocracoke Island is beautiful too. I still want to see those wild Horses.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wife – Tanicka Robeson, Pastors – Ronald and Rachel Wilson, Parents – Bishop Gilbert Robeson and the late Angela Robeson
