We had the good fortune of connecting with Janiqua Stines and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Janiqua, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Growing up always reading articles how entrepreneurs are some of the most successful and richest people in the world is why I chose to start my own business. Also being able to create things to leave behind for my children and family.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Cooking has always been a passion for me. I’ve tried doing other things but I couldn’t because it wasn’t something that I loved to do. I started off catering and sailing dinner from home for about seven years in my early childhood. I graduated culinary school in 2017, the year I opened up a carry out restaurant in Ypsilanti, Mi. My dad experienced major health issues during this time who is the other head chef. My grandmother passed away with whom was my accountant. It was too much for me to bare during that time so I close the restaurant but was still doing catering jobs. That’s when I decided I wanted to get an food truck while making it flavorful and fun. WONKOOS FOOD FACTORY LLC & MJSCATERING2U is a daddy and daughter duo and we love making ppl smile from taking a bite of our food.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My grandmother, Grandfather, My dad and all those who supports me and my dreams
