We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamila Crawford Pécou and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamila, what makes you happy? Why?
Travel, travel, TRAVEL! I’m passionate about venturing into every nook and cranny of the planet. I envision myself as a global citizen, unbound by any categorizations. In my interactions with individuals from various corners of the world, I’ve discovered a universal truth: we all possess the ability to love and share a desire to be loved in return.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am a renowned vegan chef, stylist, and travel enthusiast. What began as a simple contribution to a potluck at my friend’s boutique evolved into me catering for A-list celebrities and from there, I’ve refined the art of living and branded my lifestyle.
. My fervor for crafting visually stunning experiences has inspired me to adopt the title of “LIFESTYLIST.”
Be it meticulously planned travel adventures, cooking up delicious vegan dishes, or styling photoshoots, my commitment to excellence in every detail is what makes my style identifiable!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Great question! As a chef, our day would kick off with a brunch at my place, featuring a spread of delectable plant-based dishes. Next, we’d make our way to the High Museum of Art, followed by a visit to my husband, Fahamu Pécou’s art studio, where you’ll get an intimate look at the creative process of an artist.
For the remainder of the week, we’d dive into exploring downtown Atlanta, delving into its rich arts and history scene, enjoying the lush green spaces, discovering unique neighborhoods through shopping, relaxing with a spa day, and wrapping up the adventure with an evening on the Thompson Hotel’s rooftop!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d love to give a heartfelt shout-out to my children, who inspire me every day, and to my husband, who has bestowed upon me the most precious gift I could ever imagine—the gift of travel.
