We had the good fortune of connecting with Jami Robinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jami, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Why did I pursue an artistic or creative career? Honestly, for me, creativity isn’t just a career path—it’s a calling. I’ve always believed that imagination is the most powerful tool we have to change the world around us. Growing up, I saw how storytelling, visuals, and design could empower people, especially women, to step into their purpose and show up boldly in business and in life.

And I’ll admit it—I’m an absolute sucker for great presentation. There’s nothing like the magic of seeing an idea come to life with the right blend of creativity and polish. Over the years, I’ve learned that everyone is moved in some way by creativity and a beautifully executed presentation. It’s not just about making things look good; it’s about creating experiences that spark emotion, inspire action, and leave a lasting impression.

Launching Chic Noir Creative was my way of turning that passion into a platform. I wanted to build more than a brand agency—I wanted to create a space where women-owned businesses could be seen, heard, and celebrated through intentional branding and unforgettable digital experiences. Every project is a chance to blend strategy with artistry, to curate brands that are not just beautiful, but magnetic and impactful.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Let’s be real, easy? Absolutely not! Chic Noir Creative is the definition of a leap of faith. Like so many women, I started this journey as a side hustle, jumping in with my eyes wide shut, straight into the deep end. My husband was serving in the US Navy, and my goal was simple: bring in extra income for our family, no matter where life took us. What began as Designer Chic Designs, focused on graphic design and event planning, has now evolved into Chic Noir Creative, a full-service, powerhouse brand agency serving Henry County and the entire East Coast.

Here’s the thing: so many women start out this way, hustling to make ends meet, pouring our energy into making the money, but not always making sure we’re seen in our best light. We get caught up in the grind and forget about the importance of branding, of telling our story, showing up with intention, and making our presence unforgettable. That’s the gap I wanted to fill. Chic Noir Creative is all about helping women-owned businesses pivot from hustle mode to CEO mode, from “just getting by” to standing out and thriving.

What sets us apart? We’re more than just a creative agency, we’re a movement. Chic Noir Creative is all about intentional branding and bold storytelling for women-owned businesses. We don’t just make brands look good; we make them unforgettable. Our approach is both strategic and creative, blending data-driven digital marketing with visuals and narratives that truly connect. We specialize in empowering small to mid-sized businesses, especially those led by women, to stand out, show up, and thrive…Unapologetically!

I’m most proud of our ability to curate brand experiences that are as unique as the women we serve. Every project is a collaboration, every brand story is personal. We’ve helped clients in beauty, law, real estate, and more turn their visions into reality and their brands into magnets for opportunity.

Getting here wasn’t easy. Along with all the classic challenges, imposter syndrome, funding struggles, juggling motherhood and business, I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and Bipolar II. That diagnosis answered so many questions for me. For years, I wondered why I could start a project at full throttle, overflowing with ideas and energy, only to lose interest or momentum just as quickly. I used to feel lazy or inconsistent, frustrated by those cycles. The reality is, the mixed symptoms, racing thoughts, mood swings, bursts of creativity followed by burnout, trouble focusing, and feeling overwhelmed by even small tasks, made it tough to be a businesswoman with big goals, a family to care for, and the need to carve out time for self-care, all while moving across the country every 3-4 years.

But every challenge has taught me something valuable: resilience, self-compassion, and the power of community. I’ve learned to prioritize self-care, because I can’t pour from an empty cup. That’s why I’m so excited to be launching my new podcast, “She’s Just Dope.” It’s all about real talk for female entrepreneurs who are balancing business, self-care, family, relationships, mental health, and everything in between. My goal is to find my tribe and create a space where we can support, uplift, and get real about the highs and lows of doing it all.

I’ve realized I don’t have to do it all alone, leaning on my family, my team, and my support network has been key to moving forward, even on the tough days. Now, I want to help other women know they’re not alone either.

What do I want the world to know? Chic Noir Creative is built on heart, hustle, and a whole lot of imagination. We’re here to help women-owned brands own their spotlight, tell their stories with confidence, and leave a legacy that’s bigger than business. If you’re looking for a team that’s as invested in your success as you are, you’ve found your creative home. Period.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit, we’d do McDonough and ATL our way—mixing adventure, amazing food, and plenty of cozy, unforgettable moments (because we love a good time, but bedtime by ten is non-negotiable!).

We’d start the day with a walk on the trail at Clayton County Park—a perfect spot to get some fresh air, move our bodies, and chat about life. For lunch, we’d head straight to 1942 of McDonough, one of my absolute favorites for delicious food and a chill atmosphere where we can really catch up.

After lunch, it’s all about self-care at The Wellness Spot for a spa session. Then, we’d make our way into Midtown to browse a few unique shops, picking out something fun or special to remember the trip.
As the evening rolls in, we’d skip the club scene and focus on experiences. We’d have a private sip and paint at home with the talented artist Born Phenom—good vibes, creativity, and lots of laughs guaranteed. To close out the night, we’d make s’mores and relax under the stars, just vibing and enjoying each other’s company in our cozy space.

ATL and McDonough are packed with opportunities to explore, unwind, and make memories. My friends know our itinerary is all about great food, unique experiences, self-care, and plenty of time to just vibe and enjoy life—our way.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I have to give a huge shoutout to my family—my ultimate support system and the heartbeat behind Chic Noir Creative. My husband is truly my real-life hero. Since day one of dating, he’s championed every creative idea I’ve dreamed up (and trust me, there have been plenty!). My children are not just my biggest cheerleaders—they’re my “why.” Everything I build is about creating a legacy, not just for me, but for them and the generations to come. Every goal I set is about pushing a little further, reaching a little higher, and showing them what’s possible.

My sister definitely deserves a special mention—our brainstorming sessions are legendary. She brings the perfect mix of realistic logic to balance out my ADHD-fueled creativity. She keeps me grounded when my ideas start to run wild, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

And of course, my parents. I get the best of both worlds with them. My dad is the dream-enabler, always encouraging me to go after anything I set my mind to (as long as it makes money—he keeps it real!). My mom is my reminder to create balance, to not overload my plate, and to make time for both family and self-care.

Honestly, Chic Noir Creative is a reflection of all the love, support, and wisdom I’ve been blessed with. My story wouldn’t be what it is without them, and I’m forever grateful.
