We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamescia Robinson and Devonte Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamescia | Devonte, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I’ve grown to learn that risk-taking is a huge part of running a business. You won’t reach success if you’re too scared to take risks. Some risky decisions turns out to become some of the best decisions you’ve made. It took us a while to understand that concept. We were scared to take certain risks to help us elevate. When we were approached with a risky situation, We always thought of the “what if’s.” And they were never the positive “what if’s” .. They were always the negative “what if’s” .. like what if we do this and it fails, or what if that investment turns out to be a bad investment, and so on… We had to teach ourselves to understand that not all risks are bad risks… We now look at risky situations in a new light. We weigh out the pros and cons of each risk. If the pros outweigh the cons, and the possibility of success is greater, then we’re taking that risk. Remember, scared money don’t make any money. Lol

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
– What sets you apart from others?

Not only do we specialize in photography, videography and weddings but we also create groundbreaking content in the form of interviews with local pioneers, influencers and entrepreneurs, exclusive cyphers, skits, podcasts and other forms of entertainment. We pride ourselves in being a full-fledged media company dedicated to creating original productions as well as making others vision come to life. We are most proud and excited for the world to see the extra steps we take to ensure the products we create for others are visually and sonically appeasing, creative and well executed.

– How did you get to where you are today business wise?

My business partner and I were both operating ventures separately for years, me with PassionArtCreations and him with his rap group N3W 3RA, but we realized there is strength in numbers and our passion and devotion to the craft aligned.
Through various setbacks, some of them traumatic, we overcame through perseverance which was further fueled by our passion and drive to create and express ourselves through art in the media space.

– Lessons Learned Along the Way.

One lesson is that you have to put the collective vision first. When people only think about their momentary gain as opposed to the overall vision and mission statement, which in this case is to create a monumentally large platform for artists and creators of all kinds while utilizing high quality equipment and cutting-edge techniques, then the whole operation gets lost. This is sometimes why empires fall apart and why some of our earlier business endeavors did not work.
Also, team work makes the dream work. In the highly competitive market for videography and photography, we found it helpful to combine our skills, expertise and resources.

– What the world needs to know about our brand and story?

This company was created to show an unfiltered look at the culture, environments, beauty, and progress that surrounds us. We aim to offer a 4K quality lens into the worlds and moments that we capture for our clients while employing cutting edge and state of the art capturing and editing techniques. The goal is not to simply capture weddings, music videos and photos but to add a level of skill, care, heart, and creativity to each project so that it withstands the test of time. But beyond that we have a drive to create everything from original skits to movies and anthologies, all at an undeniably great level.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
