We had the good fortune of connecting with James Joffrion and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi James, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I always had fun with imitating someone and getting a kick out of making someone laugh. Now add that with my creative writing and there you have it! It feels good to make people smile or hear their reactions to characters I portray or create.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is called acting and what sets me a part is that I myself am a completely different person then others. Everyone has to understand that they are special and unique and they bring something different to the table than others. I’m proud of all of my performances and I got here by changing my major in college from physical therapy to drama theatre arts and never looking back. Nome of it is easy, you only overcome the challenges by not giving up but also finding the right mentor to guide you. I learned to not give up and keep going and that’s what I want the world to know about me, I never say quit.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Oh man we definitely would have to get some BBQ. Here in Houston TX you can go almost anywhere to find it. I also love doing different things and I’m a vibe wherever I go. So videogames, stage plays, bars, go karts, anything

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Besides my parents, my little girl Aubrey who pushes me to be better, thank you to Sonya Macari, Michael Vincent Berry and Giovanni Cruz. Also can’t forget Chris, Mike and Tashay from the Just Acting Up Show and my friend Tabitha. All of them has helped me out tremendously and I can’t say thank you enough.
