We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamelle Washington and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jamelle, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business was the dream of me becoming successful. As a husband and father l knew I wanted to leave a legacy for my family by creating business opportunities and generational wealth.
My initial thoughts on starting this business were terrifying. I was afraid of failing and afraid of the unknown, which stops a lot of entrepreneurs from attaining their dreams. I did not want that to be my story. I worked myself through those initial doubts and uncertainties quickly. I was affirmed that starting my own business would be a leap of faith. I knew all the years spent in gaining my education and working professionally prepared me for the businessman I always hoped to be. With that said, I took the leap.
What should our readers know about your business?
As a licensed REALTOR®, with Keller Williams Realty Atlanta Partners, I consider myself an integral component of the purchase and sale of real estate in the Metro Atlanta area. Being an agent, my goal is not one-sided in just selling houses. My goal is to cultivate relationships and build connections with people interested in real estate, especially those in minority communities. Upon making these connections, I know we will eventually buy, sell or invest in real estate together. My mission is to protect the welfare of all my clients, strategically guide them to their real estate goals, and negotiate fair deals on their behalf.
I am most proud of being a conduit to homeownership for many people. The happiness on their faces when they receive the keys to their new home is electrifying. The joy felt by helping someone improve their quality of life by becoming a homeowner is a great feeling. I am blessed to be a part of that process for so many people.
My brand and story are simple. I promote homeownership to first-time homebuyers and assist experienced homeowners looking to expand or downsize. Through quality service, I am the go-to person that my clients rely on, respect, and trust to help them navigate the overwhelming journey of buying, selling, or investing in real estate.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Quite honestly, God is the main behind-the-scenes person in all of my success. God has granted me many opportunities to grow my business. I have taken these opportunities and grown not only in my new small business but personally and professionally. Secondly, I would acknowledge my wife. She has stood by my side for the last fifteen years, twelve of which as my wife. She is my number one fan and supporter, being diligent and supporting me in every move I make. Over the years, she has endorsed my dreams, aspirations, and shenanigans (lol). I do not reasonably believe that I would be as successful as I am today without her unwavering love and support.
