We had the good fortune of connecting with Ja’Mecca Davenport and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ja’Mecca, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my business is indisputably customer satisfaction. Being in the beauty industry requires getting your clients to trust you and your skill especially for my profession. My clients arent only trusting me with their face they are trusting me to perform a technique that is semi permanent and can not be wiped off if unsatisfied. My students are trusting me to give them the vital skills and education thats required to become a well educated artist in the Field of Semi permanent Brows and Make Up. I really take the sacrifice my students make into account when Im teaching. I want to give them all Ive learned in 6 weeks in just a few days. Their success is my success.

So that’s why I say customer satisfaction because within that scope comes the integrity I put into place as an artist and Instructor who is being granted such trust by both their Clients and students. Therefore I ensure I continue to educate myself in my field, I never stop learning and researching. I make sure my safety and Sanitation protocols are what you would call state of the art. I quickly switched my studio to an one time use only studio meaning non of my tools are sterilized they are disposed of after each client to give my clients an even greater feeling of safety when they book with me. For my students they have unlimited support in there for questions years later.

And of course having great customer service non negotiable. I pride myself on being 5 stars on all platforms for 6 years and runnings.

This year the Royal Brow turned Six, and my clients and students has afforded me a life of traveling for work I never imagined it would. Being located in Atlanta my students and Clients has flown myself out to many states including the Beautiful Islands of the Bahamas and Canada.

I would like just say thank you to them. Because my students and Clients are THE ROYAL BROW

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I never imagined I would become a Brow artist. It all started with my Brow tech mistakenly over waxing my brows. I went to Cali the following day for Vacation and decided to look for a quick fix you know just a fill, but instead me and Microblading found each other. I was intrigued by it. I got home and could not get the concept out of my head and immediately start to look for training. Fast forward I’m sitting in training November 15th and I opened the Royal Brow January 6th the following year and by Gods grace Im still here and FIVE STARS across the board 6 years later.

What I feel sets my studio apart is that i give my clients their prefect Brow not the Brow I have prefected. Ontop of that I don’t think Microblading should look like microblading. So after being able to look at others in public and could instantly tell they had microblading or Shading I decided to change my technique. I didn’t want you to be able to look at my client and ask “who did your microblading?” Instead I wanted ppl to walk up and simply compliment their brows and they disclose the fact they have microblading……if they wish.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Im very big on supporting both small and black businesses so a majority of of itinerary would most definitely be supportive of both.

But I would for sure, take them to Ponce City Market to experience the Roof top, shops and food for Day 1 just to get the new Atlanta Vibe and catch up

Day 2 Brunch @ the Garden Parc
And night dance at MJQ

Day 3 My friends love Nature i would take them to Explore the New Massive West side Park and take a picnic basket and champagne of course

Day 4 Toast on Lenox for Breakfast. SLIM AND HUSKY for lunch and Trafik for RnB karaoke that night

Day 5 Must Go to Baltimore Grab and Seafood our favoite and go to Olde Smith Bar to Dance

Day 6: Let’s Shop! Different Pop ups

Day 7we are at IWI fresh garden and Day spa for a spa day, meditation and rejuvenation

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
To My Greatest Life Doll, my mother Doll- Baby. If it wasn’t for her unfailing support i would not have been able to Work and travel as I have as a mom. My besties

And of course my Students and Clients so many been with me since day one. Do grateful for each of them.
