We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamar Langley and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamar, what role has risk played in your life or career?
I think of risk taking as a moment in time to further push your vision. Although it could be a tough choice, you have to want what you’re going for more than what it may take to get there! In my career risk taking has been the very reason that I’m able too create music to this very day.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Well I’m a recording artist, musician, and songwriter. What sets me apart from others is the fact that I just don’t tap in to the surface of music, I dig deep within the soul to create magic. I’m most proud of the fact that I never gave up on my gift to create music. It wasn’t easy getting here, but I had to make the tough choices early in order too have the easier forms of success to this day. It wasn’t the easiest but I wouldn’t take anything back! To stay encouraged, I pray, and even though I’m strong, I make sure I have strong individuals around me as well! One thing that I’ve learned about music is the fact that it has no ceiling, no true identity, or no reason. You create the sky, the identity, and the reason for doing it! I want the world to know that my music is a direct reflection of my life and experience. I’m not to high to say thank you, and not to low to appreciate myself without having an ego! Follow my music journey, and you’ll see for yourself!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If a friend of mine came to visit me for a week, day 1 would be the rejuvenation day. You know get food delivered, find a game or movie, and relax. Day 2 would start with breakfast at a hotspot in the city. We would then hit one of the museums here. Lol
Day 3 would be all about adventure. You know go canoeing, or maybe fish the rivers for a bit. As you can see I build moments of relaxation lol!
Day 4 would be to climb the mountains in the area, and of course all days end with some form of food in the city. Spots we’ve never tried.
Day 5 would be a private chef type of day. If time allows, maybe get a private masseuse too come in too ease all of the tension built up from the week.
Some of the most exciting places in Atlanta to checkout for me are the Vineyards of Jasper GA, the Coca Cola factory, and my personal favorite, the aquarium!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There person I have to shout-out is the one and only 4x platinum producer Jreid! He’s a constant force behind the success that I’ve obtained so far.
