We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamaine Glover and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamaine, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Great question, Truth be told I’m tired of working for other people Life is short… Why Not Put Your Own BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS into your own Brand…!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Harlem Chop LLC is my food trailer & my life. We call her “M&M” Money Maker…LOL We Gave her a stripper name because she’s built to last and bring in that cash! ‘M&M” is 20Ft Long 8Ft Wide 7Ft high and about 8,000Lbs. She’s custom built by Scott W., Owner of TW Foodtrucks & Trailers Warehouse in Fayetteville GA. The trailer is pulled by a Ram 2,500 and her name is “White Lioness” and she’s called “White Lion”. Scott W. & I are now business partners @TW Foodtrucks & Trailers which is Dope. I’m Bringing Chop Cheese Sandwiches from Harlem to the state of GA. That alone already separates me from the rest of the food world in GA. Georgia is dominated by Wing’s & BBQ which I love by the way. Fix ya face, Ga is my Home 100 and Harlem is my heart, NYC 4 Life. I miss basic NYC thing’s and food is everything in my city. Where else can you walk outside 4 in the morning, hit the bodega and get any kind of sandwich. I went to culinary school and I got to this point by grinding hard no more no less… I can sleep when I die, right now is the time for Greatness & building my Brand @HarlemChopLLC…

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
i would take my people to the Ga Aquarium downtown and grab a bite to eat from @Humble Mumble. For dinner I would check and see if @Heritage Supper Club was having a tasting event that evening and attend. Definitely visit the Martin Luther King Center for a little bit of history. Can’t visit the “A” and not go to the King Center.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Oh this is an easy one, my shoutout goes to Johnathan James Bush…(Sunrise May 6th,1931 – Sunset May 5th,2021) I call him my “Godfather”. he was my Mentor We all called him “Bops”… Greatest man who ever lived & showed me how to be strong no matter the odds… I’d known Bops my whole life, when my grandmother passed away I was adopted by Bops & Nana Bush… What are the odds a young black kid from Spanish Harlem meeting the Bush Family… One day I’m going to write a book called “Black Boy In The Bush’s LOL. But that’s a whole other interview…! Bops and the family have shown me love since I was a child…. Grandma took me to work one morning and the rest is history… I learned Family, Love, Respect & Loyalty all thing’s I hold dear to my heart… I would die for anyone of my family members from the oldest to the youngest, Nana, Baby J Jr…. I don’t know all the Bushes so don’t ask me about politics and keep your opinion to yourself… I only know really great people I always say ” I only know good Bushes” LOL… I bring that same energy and love to my business @Harlem Chop LLC.. Without Bops, Life Would’ve Been Hella Different, I just want to be successful in life, Real Talk…
