We had the good fortune of connecting with Jalyncia Bibb and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jalyncia, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Respect, Consideration, and Peace. I once was interviewed on campus being asked “if you could hope for one thing that everyone has in the world, what would it be?” my response was simply “peace of mind”. I truly feel that what we internally create is what we are confident in exuding out for others. To counter that with respect and consideration – it leans into the saying “do onto others, as you would want others to do to you.” I believe this heavily falls in line with being a business owner, but also an individual first. I respect my businesses policy’s just as I would respect others. I consider how much I charge, the times I choose to have available, and the services I provide based on my efficiency and accuracy of customers satisfaction. Lastly, I make sure I am within the right energy to greet my customers, provide them with a comfortable experience in my environment, and reassure them as necessary. Yes, I’m sure we all have our days – but that is not fair to them unless I am asked & vice versa. My business has not only helped me network and build clientele, it has significantly provided me with a deeper purpose of radiating love for others and care for others.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I always found it funny hearing “the job you have now or after college 9 times out of 10 does not align with your degree.” Since being in college I have experienced 2 degree-major changes, 2 separate jobs outside of entrepreneurship, and E-board/membership involvement with many organizations at Kennesaw State University.
I like to refer to myself as a Jill of all trades, a multipotentialite woman. Though I am truly satisfied with my current pathway there are so many other creative endeavors that I would love to learn about and be apart of. However, I also do believe God has placed me here to fulfill the joy of loving and serving others. After-all, being a hair stylist and Psychologist do indeed align. I will be done my B.S in Psychology May of 2025 and I’ll be honest, there were times I fell short academically due to focusing more on my financial security.
With the right mindset, you will learn discipline is your best friend. This trails behind my passion towards working with youth. I desire to use my B.S in Psychology to pursue further academic studies at the masters level to help innovate, facilitate, and advocate for the youth in the aspect of mental heath so that they can learn and choose to make the best decisions for themselves as they continue to grow. Some advice of mine for those who are ambitious and wanting to reach their next level is to keep a schedule for secure balance, stay consistent within your discipline + priorities, and read motivating quotes. These values have truly kept me together! I live by, Pslam 46:5 and “Starve your distractions, Feed your focus.” I would like to also add for readers to know that, the only limit to you is yourself! Get out of your own way. The best sacrifices are made when you let go and let God.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If I were to bring my best friend around the city, I would like to take my them to visit Roswell Mill and Stone Mountain park. At Roswell Mill, there’s a beautiful trail and waterfall scenery. We could use this environment to be a debrief moment. Some activities we could do may be journaling, bring fruits and juices for snacks, and meditate at the sound of the water splashing onto the rocks. We definitely would go to the malls in the city! Perimeter, Cumberland, and Lennox are all so amazing! As for our eating, I would like us to visit Marietta square market to eat at the restaurants – but mainly Cafe Bourbon and Food Terminal in Atlanta, a Malaysian Cuisine it’s so yum! Some other favorites that I would love to introduce my friend to are Bahama Breeze & CAVA. Lastly, to fit in a nightlife and looser vibes, SIVA’s Tavern will always get me right! Our favorite request is to play Flex by Cupid.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to my family, my friends, and the Queens who dedicated their time and trust towards investing into me and my future. JAYSHAIRLAND LLC has helped me get through college independently, successfully network, and best of all build unbreakable bonds. I love my clientele. Thank you to my parents who sowed into my dream. It started as a kid- I stayed in my hair (AND STILL DO UNTIL THIS DAY LOLL). Thanks to my Mom, she often let me do and practice in her hair. Along with my parents being lenient in letting me build my business from home. I understand the uncomfortability and uncertainty that comes with working from home. I’ll never forget how and where it all started.
