Hi Jaira B., do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
Yes, my favorite quote is one I created “Make Your Visions Visible.” it came to me in 2018 while in the process of starting my business. I was active duty stationed overseas at the time and experiencing different life changes and acknowledging some hurt as well. The vision I had was so big and such a shock to myself I couldn’t find all the words to explain it, so I had to make it visible. This quote means to me to follow your visions even when others can’t see it with you, you know what it looks like so make it visible for others to see as well. Get started and make it happen is how I would sum that up.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Pretty Mink’d Out Collection, LLC is what landed me in this entrepreneurial world. My beauty brand specializes in high quality mink eyelash strips amongst other beauty products. What sets us apart is our desire to inspire beyond the eye of beauty, meaning the messages displayed on our packaging is to help one feel as beautiful on the inside as the outside. It hasn’t been easy learning about the business side of things because I used it as a hustle for so long, and although this is my 3rd year in business it feels like my first because I’m now understanding all of the business aspects in being an entrepreneur. The lessons I’ve learned are know your target audience, understand who your brand is for, you can’t help everyone and stay consistent. With my new venture The Sistah-hood, I will be putting together different coaching’s, eBooks and other inspirational pieces to help likeminded individuals sit together, learn and network in life and business. With that being said I want the world to know my name and brands for positivity, quality, strength, and encouragement.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Although I’m a Georgia girl I’m still new to the area, and haven’t got out that much, but I would most likely take friends of mine to Harold’s Chicken & Ice Bar and Fins & Feathers for the nice food, music and hookah vibe. Brunch we would do Boogalou, The Hive and Toast on Lennox. Restaurants like STK, Cirque Blu Seafood House and Nouveau for a nice dinner vibe. Almost anywhere in the Ponce City Market and as far as lounge club there are so many it honestly would just depend on the vibe of the night. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Wow, there are so many people I could shout out but first off, my families and friends for always being a great support system and believing and encouraging me as I grew to believe in myself. I say families because throughout my life I’ve been blessed to be a part of many amazing families. Kirsten King, Breona Anderson and of course The Brandy Kennedy who have all inspired me and played a significant role in my business and spiritual views in life & business. Lastly “The Story of Strength” by Jaira B. Williams, which is my first book, it continuously reminds me that with God I’ve come so far and how far I can go in this thing called life.
