We had the good fortune of connecting with Jaiah Rodgers and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jaiah, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
When I first started my brand, I felt that it was my purpose to create something based off of what is everyday life for me. I want other women to be able to relate to a lifestyle that gives us more purpose. Too often, in my opinion, do women persevere when they may not see a way, or see the light at the the end of the tunnel. For me, I thought I’d instantly find my niche, find my audience, and in short, attain success. That’s not life. Not for everyone at least. So when it comes to my brand, I want to continue seeing it grow. I want to see all that my brand can offer to the world, and that’s more than enough motivation to keep going.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Being a proclaimed lifestyle designer, I create my ideal life. My life has consisted of gaining knowledge, sharing my thoughts and values, and enjoying various interests of my own. I choose to do all of that for a living! Blogging is my way of sharing my thoughts and values, as well as the thoughts and values of others. Gaining knowledge began with school. Now that entrepreneurship is a way of life, that in itself has a wealth of knowledge that can, in return, provide freedom financially and creatively. But it takes discipline! It is not easy being an entrepreneur, but with faith and support, it can be so rewarding! I want the world to know that I created a brand based precisely on me being true to myself. I want women to embrace femininity beyond the glitz and glamour, or what’s on the outside. To be original means so much more than being different than the next person. When you are true to your originality, there’s no wrong way of being you. I look forward to the many things FEMANDORI will have to offer, and if you stay close, you will too! *wink*

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love my city. Atlanta, GA is home and there are plenty of places I love to go to in my spare time. When I want to socialize and swing at the same time, Boogalou is one of my favorite places to catch a happy hour. You read right! Boogalou is a lounge that offers swings as seating at the bar. It’s the perfect photo op! Also, their buffalo cauliflower and rice bowl are my fav dishes! Want to catch a bite to eat, with chill vibes in midtown? The Sivas has the best wings, and outdoor patio seating, which adheres to general COVID-19 guidelines. During the warmers seasons, I love to visit the W Atlanta – Midtown’s WET Deck to catch some sun, read a book by the pool, and even take pics for the gram. Fun fact: I use ResortPass to take daycations and enjoy the amenities at select luxury hotels near me. Even when I travel!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are two people I would like to recognize and that would be my mother and my father. My father is who named me Jaiah, and my mother named my sister. When my sister and I would question our parents on how they decided on what to name us, my father told me once and I haven’t forgot since. Jaiah is feminine and original, and I wholeheartedly chose to live up to my name. Thanks dad for fueling my purpose on earth, and thank you mom for the femininity and originality you have instilled in me.
