We had the good fortune of connecting with Jae Price and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jae, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Having a short memory has played a big role with being successful. Forgetting bad experiences quickly helps me remain focused. It takes a lot of courage and willpower to move past shortcomings and looses in business. Not allowing negative thoughts or the fear of future failure take up space in my brain frees up creative space to continue fighting towards goals despite whatever obstacles come my way.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Im a newbie in the real estate game but my strong background in tax preparation and finance has made the transition into this industry a lot easier. Us millennial and generation Z buyers face unique challenges in our efforts to obtain real estate in today’s climate. A lot of us have untraditional forms of income or need programs to help us realize our dreams of homeownership. Having had ran my own small tax firm for 7 years afforded me a lot of insight on home buying lender requirements as well as maximizing seller tax deductions and write-offs. Furthermore, I’ve sat with major lenders to study different types of mortgages, incentives and other financial programs available. Understanding the numbers behind house hunting is how I assist my clients in making financially beneficial real estate investments. In my experience, most people only care about two things:
whether or not they can afford that house they love or how much money they can keep in their pocket tax free after selling. As a newer agent, knowing these things most definitely sets me apart from the masses.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Honestly, im the airplane and passport friend. Since Covid i’ve made it a point to travel more outside of my local city…. Im up to 11 countries and counting since 2020! Some were solo trips and others were adventures with friends. Whenever Im in the city though, I enjoy eating at Lure, Marcel and any Korean bbq restaurant. My newest obsession is golfing. There are a lot of laughs, lessons and connections to be made on the golf course.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Early in, my fellow founding members at The Gathering Spot kept me encouraged and excited about the ups and downs of being a small business owner. I can recall being coached through countless days of wanting to give up.
