We had the good fortune of connecting with Jade Ammons and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jade, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success would be having the audacity to be unapologetically and authentically me. Being myself even when it’s inconvenient. I pray I inspire others to do the same. I learned that God honors the person you are and not the person you pretend to be. I have to practice what I preach. Being the real me has attracted everything and everyone that is for me to me. Plus, others are already taken. Nobody can literally be me or do what I do, that way I do it (that’s God-fidence)! Those that matter don’t mind and those that mind don’t matter(that’s Dr.Seuss lol).
What should our readers know about your business?
I am dedicated to helping every person walk in their authenticity with confidence to reach their God given potential by living In Purpose On Purpose #IPOP. I LOVE PEOPLE! I am a “Firestarter “, “Force Multiplier”, “People Whisperer”, and the “Professor”so I am designed to exhort, empower, edify and elevate people. I want them to know they are here to solve a problem only they can solve. I want everyone to walk in confidence in their purpose and get paid to do it. What sets me a part is my prophetic gift, spiritual, emotional, relational, and leadership intelligence. I have over 20 years higher education and non profit organizational experience along with my purpose and emotional intelligence coaching certifications. I partner that with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and African American Studies and a Master of Science in Leadership Higher Education / Non Profit Organization. I left my full time employment 3 years to start my coaching and consulting business. I took a leap of faith and I realize that God meets us where our faith is at. It can be a lot of pressure with many ebs and flows but you have to remain steady in the storm and keep walking it out. Starting a business is not for everybody nor would I recommend it to everyone but you have to be willing to do it afraid because people are waiting on you and that’s being selfish not doing what you are called to do. Also, don’t get caught up in the comparison trap because that will take you down fast. Just look ahead not behind to left or right because what happens is we can’t outperform our own self image looking ahead allows us to see ourselves the way God see’s us. When you’re alone watch your thoughts, when you’re successful watch your ego, and when you’ve got problems; watch your emotions.. Keep it 100 which means be you, be honest, be true to yourself. My true talent and gifts lie within my heart and spirit. I just want to soak my clients in self-love and ease them into familiar patterns of acceptance that are sure to stay, all they have to do is open their hearts to be ready for abundance. My purpose, passion, and spirit are sure to make a lasting impression. You can purchase adult coloring book titled :In Purpose On Purpose: Meditation and Reflection Journal, I also have #IPOP gear on my website and my book will be released next year. The best is still yet to come.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My favorite place in the city is the Belt Line. I love walking to Ponce City Market , drinking, eating, and people watching so it checks off all of my boxes even golf and games on the rooftop. We will stop at Ladybird and get a pouch, stop at the brewery, king of pops, eat at Botiwalla almost every time, then go upstairs to see the Village retail, hear good music at Bar Vegan. Of course everybody wants to go to to Slutty Vegan in Edgewood (We love Pinky). End the week at Change Church in Duluth for sure!
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to first Give an honor to God who is the head of my life..lol I couldn’t help myself. My parents Alie and Bill who are the reason I have the confidence I have. My whole family& friends especially my sister Jameelah and nephew Elizjah ,because they are so extra and supportive. I grew up with a huge family and they are my biggest cheerleaders(Ave Crew For Life). My doula, intercessor & prayer warrior Theresa Gullatt. Dr. Willie Lewis who was my first spiritual father to get me started on my purpose and I credit him for teaching me every week on his own time, and being patient with me about my calling. He is a true hidden figure! Last but not least. The Daniels Den (A Home for the Hungry) which is a mentor group where we work on the person behind the brand. It is under the leadership of Dr. Dharius Daniels, Shameka Daniels, and Coach LaQuonne Holden…this group has really supported, edified, and honored the call on life, they have exposed the leader I am called to be! #wedifferent
