Meet Jada Taylor | Esthetician & Skincare Specialist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jada Taylor and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jada, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
A habit I feel helped me succeed is planning ahead. I would write down a list of realistic steps I want to take to achieve my goal. But when taking these steps, it isn’t rushed. I take a step forward when I feel ready and comfortable enough to do so.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
LaCore Aesthetics Spa & Skincare was created to help people in my community get a better understanding of their skin. I started doing facials from home shortly after graduating Esthetician school in 2022 when I was 19 years old. I would always go shopping for equipment and items that upgraded my services. Eventually I was ready to start expanding my clientele. I was eager to find a new space for my business but didn’t realize how hard it would be. But I never gave up because this is my dream. Now I am 20 years old with my very first spa! I think the most exciting part for me is watching my clientele grow and being able to work with all different skin types. I love being able to help people achieve their skincare goals while relaxing and clearing their minds. A lesson I’ve learned along the way is to not compare my situation to others and to move at my own pace.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
A place I love to hang out is Ponce City Market rooftop! The food is amazing and there’s always fun activities to do.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I wouldn’t have a story if it wasn’t for the support of my mother. She has believed in me since the beginning! There is never a time where she will judge or shoot down an idea of mine. Instead, she takes my vision and elevates it. My mother has made me a hard working business woman. If I’m not doing it for myself, I’m definitely doing it for her.
