We had the good fortune of connecting with Jada Samone’ and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jada, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
The end goal for me would be being a successful actor, producer, director and screenwriter, working across television and film. Success would mean achievements after achievements. Being able to go to work and say I love what I do for a living. At the end of my career, I would like to look back at the work that I have done and feel a sense of joy and pride. Pride in the storytelling that I got to be a part of, proud of the performances that I was able to give and feel good about being able to inspire others that you can still go after your dreams being a mother or having kids.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My art is acting, content creating, a business owner and makeup. What sets me apart from others? My will power to be who I’ve always dreamed of becoming. I’m proud of everything I’ve attained up to this point. I’m very huge on creating vision boards and writing down goals and visions for myself, a lot of the things I wanted, I took a leap of faith and I succeeded in doing so. I had my son fresh out of high school so of course my priority was raising my son up until a point where I was comfortable enough to leave him with my village while I went out to pursue my dreams. I quit my job to invest in my career I started off doing background/featured work at TPS, soon that developed into supporting roles as an actor and soon after that it developed into lead roles as an actor. Was it easy? Absolutely not, I was a mother and traveling from North Carolina to Atlanta every few months away from my son. Lessons I’ve learned? Don’t be so astute to believing or trusting everything a person says. Don’t be so swift to say yes just because you feel like it will elevate you faster in your career. I’m passionate about my career, I’m currently generating my businesses as we speak and I will also be a beginner makeup artist this year.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love to eat and try new foods, I would take them to Batsi, HungryAfatl, Rock South Cuisine, The Vault and side bar. The food and drinks are amazing.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to shoutout my village, my close friends, my mentors who I look up to and adore and shoutout to the people I meet that let me know, if I need them they’re here for me. I love meeting and forming a relationship with genuine people.
