Meet Jacqueline Kendrick | Certified Minister of Dance

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacqueline Kendrick and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jacqueline, what was your thought process behind starting your own business? For me, it was not a thought process, but an awakening! Dance has always been my Passion, and then my Passion, along with my love for God, became my Ministry.
I served as the Dance and Drama Arts Ministry Leader at my church for eighteen years. Early in my leadership, I found opportunities to share my gifts with a group of talented teenagers that I knew would benefit from the dance ministry. This ministry captured the hearts of many, growing from twelve teenage girls to over ninety dancers to include, children, women and men ranging in ages from 4 – 80+. Six different groups were formed that consisted of Senior citizens, adult ladies, young adult ladies, pre-teens/teens, little angels, and male dancers. There have been times when the Pastor and Senior Men engaged in dance during the Worship Service, incorporating their own moves. It didn’t take long for me to realize that my beautiful talent inspires, encourages, and motivates others through motion.
I had the vision of Dance Complete LLC long ago, however I prayed, and waited for God’s affirmation. Once I heard His voice, I knew it was time to take that leap of faith. Dance Complete Ministries, LLC was incorporated in 2018. I took the necessary steps to put my business in action and applied for my business license, registered my business with the Secretary of State of Georgia and opened my business bank account. I knew that for Dance Complete to be successful, I had to show others that I was serious about my business. I wanted them to see Dance Complete, LLC operating both as a Ministry and a business.
Dance Complete, LLC was started with an extremely limited budget. My family and I used funding out of our household budget to fund our first conference, The Manifestation Celebration, in January 2019. Dance Complete, LLC was introduced and officially opened for business. It was a huge risk that I was willing to take with the support of my family and it is paying off. The conference was extremely successful. Through the Manifestation Celebration, I was fortunate to get sponsors to help support my first conference, Gracefully Broken, in September 2019. God started giving me other assignments that exposed my business to the world via Facebook. I started ministering live via Facebook on Sundays, and coordinated my first virtual conference, The Corona Explosion in April 2021 via the YouTube and FaceBook platforms.
I am reminded of the promise of God in Habakkuk 2:2-3 “And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie; though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”
Dance Complete, LLC was incorporated on the seven key principles:
• Commitment
• Discipline
• Focused
• Love
• Obedience
• Sacrifice
• Servanthood
These principals are essential in one’s character and business ethics. They also help to shape and develop our next generation with the skills they need to grow and have successes in life.
Through Dance Complete, LLC, I coordinate and facilitate liturgical dance conferences and workshops; help churches, throughout the U.S., start dance ministries; choreograph and teach dances to individuals and groups; Minister in dance at various events to include productions, weddings, funerals, reunions, and church events; Sponsor Community Outreach events.
Dance Complete, LLC is most rewarding to me because I have many opportunities to share my gifts and talents with people of all ages, to have a positive impact on those I serve and to leave a legacy for others to follow. Most of all, I get to travel around the world and do what I love and enjoy doing…. dance!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am currently a Purchasing Supervisor at a major multi-hospital in Atlanta. I manage the daily operation of buying medical and surgical supplies for Nursing services to ensure products and services are readily available to meet the needs of our customers. I collaborate with other Purchasing leaders, contract managers, and customers to review and change existing products as requested and implement the use of new products and services as needed. My humble beginnings started as a Certified Nursing Assistant. After two years in nursing, I moved from patient care to the corporate side of healthcare in Procurement. While working a full-time job, a ministry leader, wife, and mother, I managed to go back to school and earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Administration/Healthcare Management. The struggle was real but necessary. There were many long and exhausting nights however, with God and the support of my family, hard work, and perseverance, I pressed my way through.
Balancing home, work, and my business is challenging. However, the reward is becoming an entrepreneur. Working on purpose, doing what I love to do, makes the struggle seamlessly, knowing the reward on the other side. Fulfilling my dreams and ambition brings about adrenaline that energizes and fuels me to go higher. To use all my God-given gifts and earn an income is a blessing, and I am honored that He chose me for the task. Most importantly, balancing and spending quality time with my family, which is foremost, my first ministry, is vital! I love the fact that they enjoy collaborating with me in my business and are always available when help is needed. Their presence brings a sense of peace, love, and unity.
What sets me apart from others, is my commitment to whatever I set my mind to. I do not believe in starting something and not following through. Therefore, before committing to something, I weigh the options, time, and sacrifice to determine if that is for me. If so, I go full force. If not, I respectfully allow it to pass me by. Also, my ability to work with different personalities in conflict resolution. Knowing how to diffuse a heated situation and bring about peace is a gift. I have been asked professionally and personally to sit in on meetings to help resolve crises. I give God all the glory, honor, and praise for what He is doing in my life, ministry, business, and family. He is my source and because of Him, it’s all working for my good. I am most proud of starting my own business, which was written on a piece of paper, and to see it come to fruition is beyond my imagination!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend were visiting, I would first, take her to my home to meet with my other friends for lunch on the veranda, tasty food, and enjoyable conversation. Once settled and rested, we would prepare for dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, Seasons 52. After a nice evening of fun and fellowship, we will call it a night. The next day after a lite breakfast, we would enjoy a day of shopping! I would take her shopping at Atlantic Station for the scenery and from there to my favorite mall, Perimeter, where we can shop and have lunch at other favorites, Sage or Cheesecake Factory. The next day, we would do a little sightseeing around Atlanta. I would take her to a couple of historic sites, such as The Martin Luther King Center, HBCU’s; Morehouse, Clark Atlanta, and the Atlanta Museum of Arts, one of my favorite places to visit. Oh, and for a final tour, we would ride the Ferris Wheel for a sky view of Atlanta. I would end our weekend together with Worship Service at my church, the New Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, followed by a good southern dinner at one of our historic restaurants, Mary Mac’s Team Room on Ponce De Leon at Midtown Atlanta. I would make her weekend an enjoyable and cherishable visit.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
To the people who were instrumental in helping me to shape my ministry into my business:
First, To God the Father, Creator of it all, who is able to do exceedingly abundantly. For without Him, nothing is possible.
Mr. and Mrs. Mark and Yvette Martin, who saw the vision, push and guided me through the business implementation process. Apostle Michelle Rucker, for her leadership and spiritual guidance in the foundation and formation of the dance ministry. Rodney and Minister Teresa Caldwell were part of the birthing of the ministry, inspired and motivated me to leap into my calling. Pastor Charles and First Lady Delores Westmoreland, for their love, support, mentorship, covering, and for supplying a home for Dance Complete Ministries. Pastor Dexter and First Lady, Dr. Renay Rowland, for their leadership, prayers, and love, and the New Piney Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Vessels of Fortitude Dance Ministry, where it all began and will always and forever be in my heart.
Finally, To the loves of my life: My husband, Anthony, and sons, Arlin and Armond for their unconditional love, sacrifice, and support.
