Hi Jacqueline, putting aside the decision to work for yourself, what other decisions were critical to your success?
The pivotal choice I made was to surrender and trust in God. Often, we attempt to take the reins, striving for control over situations and results. I hold faith that what is meant for me will come my way.

What should our readers know about your business?
I take pride in being a natural hair care stylist. Embracing the philosophy of “anyone can do hair, but can you grow hair,” I appreciate the depth of my profession, focusing on nurturing hair rather than just styling. Achieving entrepreneurship wasn’t easy, facing doubts and the sole responsibility on challenging days. Yet, I pray for God’s guidance in my current business and those to come. For hairstylists seeking inspiration, discover your niche. Identify what you genuinely enjoy and what comes naturally. Find the aspect that doesn’t feel like a “job” and stick to it. Dedicate time to study your craft and execute it with passion.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Being a food enthusiast and nature lover, The WhiteBird is a must-visit for us. I enjoy the liberating feeling of being in nature, so let’s go with the flow and do whatever uplifts our spirits!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to express my gratitude, starting with God for grounding me. Next, my family, always there to support and help me push through challenges. Lastly, my clients, who stuck with me through every transition. Much love to all!
