Hi Jacolbi Symone, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I decided to pursue a life of artistry to inspire all with the senses to observe. Most importantly, this life chose me because it would be a shame to dim the light. I want my family to share moments of success with me as well, they deserve to see it. Being from Birmingham, Alabama has taught me to paint the world any color I see fit. YLLLW. The original idea for YLLLW. birthed as a collective agreement that there is something more; something synergetic. Music was the foundation of it all. Specifically, as an early college student I decided to focus on fashion, art, music, & entertainment. Truthfully, the creation of the business began with the idea of life as art being an endless film. We start with the wardrobe, the scenery, the soundtrack & we capture the moments.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
It all began with a vision. I saw everyone being who they were, endlessly. ‘Your love, luxury, & legacy wins.‘ That just so happens to be the acronym for YLLLW. — it came to me one day. Life to me is a poetic prophetic project. I’m the artist and my name on the world’s stage is ST. JACO SYMO! My business is designed to include others into my creative lifestyle process, because it’s destiny. The greatest lesson I have learned thus far would have to be patience. Building a legacy takes a community & I believe this is just the beginning. Imagine a world where everyone you know is living out their greatest potential. Sounds foreign, but why not? I’ve learned to believe in a brighter future because someone has to!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
A quick hack I’ve discovered is typing in ‘Black owned businesses in Atlanta’ and exploring the world of local artists and entrepreneurs who are placed there by design. It is fun and exciting to support others and build the community one purchase at a time. Your love, luxury, & legacy wins. Living YLLLW.!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to first thank the people who come before me from my hometown of Birmingham, Alabama. Great minds and creative passion derive from here! Beyond home, I am where I am because of the influence of my favorite artists who bring soul to the table. Inspiration is fuel and the most important credit goes to the light connecting us all. We are all stars.
