We had the good fortune of connecting with Jacob Burrell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jacob, what’s your definition for success?
The way I define success for myself is by setting goals and markers I should meet. Every time I pass a goal, I feel great because I know I’m getting closer. It’s a great feeling when you reach a goal, but roadblocks do come. Over the year I’ve been able to learn from my failures. Though failure may seem negative, it reaps many benefits in my learning process in reaching my goal. Always overstand what you are learning. Never be afraid to fail. This is how I define my success. ; how do you define yours?

What should our readers know about your business?
Goody and I started Goody Entertainment with hopes of creating a space for creatives to have fun and expose it to an audience. Though it has not been easy we are here due to the continuous support from our community. We had to express this idea to convince people about our movement. There are a lot of lessons to learn. Through this process we have learned how to bring people and events together. Marketing is a big lesson we learned and how expanding reach is always essential. Networking is also crucial in creating our reach. We want the world to know we’re building our brand to outlive us

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Growing up, I’ve always loved going to the aquarium. The Georgia Aquarium would be the best place to visit. Also, if you love sports, experience one of our professional sports teams when they are in season. After these adventures, hunger will set in, and Atlanta has a lot of places to eat. I love Mexican food, and one place everyone should try is “Nuevo Laredo Cantina.” It’s one of the best Mexican cuisines in Atlanta. After eating, relax a little because Atlanta nightlife is something to experience. There’s a scene for everyone, and all about the vibe you want to capture.

First, I want to thank my parents for being everything to me. Thank my business partner Goody for being on this journey with me. Thanks to Paint and Sit Atl for the inspiration. Thanks to Coby for being a mentor in my entrepreneurship.
