Hi J.R., what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Creating my Brand BORNFREE all catered to me not letting my past dictate my future. I wanted this brand to give you the feeling of being born again in a sense, a clean slate. If it my music, clothing, or even my catering company in the works. I want the consumer to feel the feeling of freedom and possibility

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My passion for creativity in general came from writing orginally, i would always wrote poems, stories or just to my thoughts out. That transpired into my music and me realizing how versatile i am. Ive always kept a chip on my shoulder trying to be the best at whatever i put my mind to, then giving my best to convey this message of freedom became the motivation. There is always more to be learned Patience is your best friend Dont be afaid to fail 3 words of advice i use everyday with my businesses and life

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well first we would definitely visit my family, they are so accepting and make anything a good time. Since im a homebody i get creative with things to do at home, but i would say the atl beltline is a good place for scenery, as far as food we can drive down edgewood or peachtree and take a pick. Since most of my friends are music heads as well the rest of the time would be used to create some srt

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Honestly most of the credit goes to everything that surrounds me, ive been taught be aware of your surroundings butni use that in more then one sense. So it could be a book, a conversation with someone, even a sound so everything im in contact with deserves credit really
