We had the good fortune of connecting with Isis Wood and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isis, every day, we know how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
My great-grandmother’s name was Irma, and I often think about the way she had a gift for making others feel beautiful. She carried herself with such grace, and it seemed effortless for her to bring out the best in people. Growing up, I was always curious about what truly defined beauty, not just how it looked on the outside, but how it made others feel. I remember sneaking into my mother’s room, trying on her earrings, and carefully opening her jewelry box, hoping to discover a hidden gem that held a bit of that magic. I’d do the same with my grandmother’s collection, captivated by the timeless quality of the pieces, even the costume jewelry. There was craftsmanship back then, a sense of story and meaning behind every item, that made it special. From those moments, I knew I wanted to create something of my own to not only design jewelry but to design experiences that help people feel radiant, confident, and truly seen, just like Irma once did for others.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is more than just creating permanent jewelry; it’s about creating connection, confidence, and a lasting sense of beauty for those who wear my pieces. What sets me apart is the intention behind every design. I’m not just giving someone a bracelet or necklace; I’m giving them a piece of art that symbolizes strength, femininity, and self-love.

Starting this journey wasn’t easy. It meant stepping far outside my comfort zone, taking a leap of faith, and following what felt right for me, even when fear and doubt crept in. But I knew I wanted to create something meaningful, especially for young girls who crave a sense of belonging and beauty that feels real and personal. Jewelry can be so much more than an accessory; it can be a reminder of who you are and what you deserve. I’ve faced challenges along the way, learning the business side of things, pushing through setbacks, and finding my unique voice in an already crowded industry. But each challenge taught me resilience, patience, and the importance of staying true to my purpose.

What I want the world to know about my brand is that it’s built from a place of love and connection. My mission is to create jewelry that lasts not just in quality, but in meaningful pieces that help others feel beautiful, confident, and connected to themselves and the people they love.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting, I’d definitely want to give them the ultimate Atlanta experience! We’d start with a walk along the Beltline, soaking in the art, live music, and the energy of the city. From there, we’d stop by Ponce City Market grab some bites from the food hall, and shop around. One evening, we’d dress up and head to Ruby Chow for a delicious dinner and their famous lychee martini it’s a must-have! Another day, we’d check out Colony Square, hang out on the plaza, and maybe catch a movie or enjoy one of the live events they host there. Of course, the week would be filled with exploring local shops, trying new restaurants, and just enjoying everything the city has to offer from hidden gems to vibrant nightlife. For me, it’s all about good vibes, great food, and making memories in spots that truly capture the spirit of Atlanta.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my mother, whose unwavering support has shaped the person I am today. She has always pushed me to aim higher, reminding me to stay focused even when challenges felt overwhelming. My mother has been my greatest source of encouragement, constantly reminding me of my strength and potential. She gave me the freedom to explore my passions, to stay true to who I am, and to follow the path that brings me joy. Her guidance, love, and belief in me have been the foundation for every success I’ve achieved, and I am endlessly grateful.
