We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaiah (Zay) Luque and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isaiah (Zay), what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve always been a hustler since a baby and have always been around hustlers so starting a business was mandatory. I created CREATIVE ORDINARE because I wanted to find something other than basketball to be committed to and be successful with. I believe I’m doing just that. I believe in pushing to be successful but remembering to have fun and and be patient with your business. That’s my motto. CREATIVE ORDINARE means to be unordinary creative in an ordinary world. 🦚

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I’m over course trying to set my self apart from the world with my clothing appeal but also trying to show people a more creative way of showing my brand to the world. Whether that be with incredible pictures, insane collabs or even behind the scene film of what I really do. Starting a business isn’t hard it’s the consistency that is the toughest and for me it’s the only thing I struggled with. And learning to be patient with things you can’t control. I want the world to know that these clothes are more than just cloth and a price tag. It’s a staple that you are also unordianrly creative in an ordinary world.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
To start off we are definitely going to Buckhead to eat walk around maybe even shop and just have a good time. Then I would probably head to the battery to watch the braves play or to socialize and network with all the people that usually hangout there. After that I head to Avalon to enjoy the amazing pizza spot they have there and then I would probably find a gym to go to for the remainder days find good eating spots to enjoy and try just enjoy the rest of the time we have there

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I wanna shout out my mom. Without her I wouldn’t be where I am and where I’m going. My mom is the only person I wanted to be like as a kid growing up and still till this day. Best mom and smartest woman I know. I would also like to shout out my family for always keeping me around bigger and better things so I would know what I want in my life. Last but not least I would like to shout out my mentor Popf. Also a successful business owner I want to be like and just a great guy. He the owner of “proudhbcugrad”. He and my mom both really gave me the blueprint to running my business and I really appreciate them both. Also wanna shout out my cameraman Isai for even putting me on to this dope interview. Behind closed doors it good to know my name is being talked about positively without me knowing. Shout out my older brother as well for always believing in the kid
