We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaac Ameyaw and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Isaac, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Staying true to self. Often times we can get so caught up in following every other path but ours. I’m a firm believer in sitting with yourself and finding out what resonates mentally, whether that’s through meditation or just being to yourself and brainstorming.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m a fashion-editorial photographer who enjoys portraiture and interacting with my surroundings. I enjoy conceptual work, whether paid or collaborative. I also do photography for music videos behind the scenes. What distinguishes me is my ability to change my shooting style as needed. In addition to being a quick learner. Having my work published is always a source of pride for me. It assures me that my efforts are not in vain. It took a lot of time, persistence, and dedication to get to where I am today. It is not an easy path to becoming a creator, discovering and thriving in your style. My mistakes helped me overcome my challenges. You benefit from trial and error. Lessons I’ve learned along the way are knowing your worth and setting the proper boundaries. I want the world to know that this is just the beginning of my Art. I will continue growing and portraying beautiful work which will eventually reach the whole world.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love nature, so I’d take them to Great Falls Park in Virginia for a walk and a picnic. In terms of a week-long trip, we’d go to a different brunch spot in DC each day and then do something extracurricular like a museum, scooter riding, or some kind of fair.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to dedicate this part of the shoutout to all my family and friends. Having a solid foundation of family and friends can bring a fresh breath of life into me to stay inspired, creative, and consistent. The second part of this shoutout is to every creator who resonates with me. Do your work with passion and love. Go all out and create because you love doing it and it will pay off.
