Meet Imoni Denise | Entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Imoni Denise and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Imoni, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
We start things, and sometimes they go well sometimes even great-but then confusion hits, and we stop. In every situation I find myself in, I always ask: Is this what I want? Is this what I need? Giving up isn’t an option. That’s too close to losing, too close to failure. As long as we’re capable, we should always keep going. in every positive way possible.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Building my hair business has been a passion filled journey. I can say dedication, and growth. I’ve put in the hours, perfected my craft, and stayed committed to giving my clients the best. Being able to do Hair isn’t just a skill; it’s an art, a form of expression, and a way to make people feel and be confident. This journey has taught me so much! One of the biggest lessons? I’ve learned to steer clear of anything that’s not aligned with my path. If it’s not for me, I’m not forcing it. I no longer pour into anything that’s not pouring back into me—whether that’s people, opportunities, or even energy. I’ve also had to learn that all money isn’t good money. Not every opportunity is worth my peace, my craft, or my time. And when friendships start feeling like obstacles instead of support, I’ve learned to release them with love. Growth requires letting go, and I’ve made peace with that! Challenges come, but I refuse to let them stop me. Social anciety? Get over it. Not feeling motivated? I remind myself why I started. I can’t afford to let a bad day turn into a bad habit….. I’ve learned to check in with myself, take breaks when needed, but never quit. I turn to the Most High for faith and strength. That’s the real. When I put God first, everything else falls into place.
From where I started to where I am now, I’m proud of every step, and I know this is just the beginning, lock innnn, you’ll see the difference.
To everyone who has booked with me, supported me, or even just shared my work, thank you! Y’all keep me motivated, and I appreciate every single one of you. The journey isn’t stopping here, so stay tuned—there’s so much more to come! WE got big things coming, even some update to the brand, but we’re going to keep that on the playground.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Here’s how I’d describe it:
If I’m taking my friends downtown, just know it’s about to be a vibe! We love each other pure company. So most times, depending on how we feel. We have girl nights where we get out, hit the city. But we’re big on nature and scenery, so, we’re definitely finding a good outdoor spot to take pictures and get in the views. And let’s be real the girls LOVE to eat! We’re stopping by a few restaurants, Anywhere with good R&B vibes? We’re there. But don’t get me wrong —we’re outside but we’re still working on us lol. We love keeping our own company.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I can’t lie-I wake up every day and thank God. I really do. I thank Him for a sane mind, for the Bible, and for always guiding me. This world is crazy, but the people He put in my life—the ones who’ve stuck beside me—have shaped me into who I am. So, big shoutout to my Mom, my Grandma, and my Uncle Josh. And if you know, you know—lol! Also, love to my clients and every girl who’s booked with the Real HAIR BRAIDER—y’all are truly appreciated! It’s all love!
