We had the good fortune of connecting with Imani Yarbrough and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Imani, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I have a background and healthcare administration. Of the most rewarding things that comes with that, is that I was able to help others by understanding their insurance. You will be amazed how many individuals have policies, and do not know what they cover. So by working with them And help educate them about their policies it became rewarding.

One of the reasons why I’m no longer in that field is because of the politics that is behind healthcare. There are a lot of physicians who have become burnt out in their field and don’t provide the best patient care. I wanted to be the person who was able to smooth over any doubt, or any concern when coming into the doctors office. I like working with people, but sometimes not everyone has the same vision as you.

Also, after witnessing my grandmother, get received energy from the tease that I provided in my store that was the ultimate deal seller. I knew that this is something that I wanted to do for the rest of my life. To be able to provide others with feeling good on the inside from the products I provide. One of the best feelings is having someone come inside and they tell me like how much energy this item gives them or how good the our protein shakes are or how much the kids love our protein donuts. Just seeing others become excited about being Health is a reasons why I wanted to open up a healthy café. I want to be able to show people that eating healthy does not have to be boring making healthier decisions is a good thing. There are so many individuals around us that is on medication when simply, they could just make better decisions with the food that they intake and reduce their body being exposed to different medication. We truly don’t eat.

This was my thought process behind opening at Peachdrop. If I can improve the community one percent better each day with healthier choices, that is what makes my heart full.

What should our readers know about your business?
Peachdrop is not your normal smoothie/shake shop. All of our products are from Herbalife Nutrition which is the only supplement with healthy meal on the canister. Even through I have a store front, I also encourage others to make there products at home, which you can. I want people to be excited to incorporate a healthy lifestyle, no matter where they are located

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love supporting other small businesses so we would definitely attend a candle making like, or a wine making class

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to decide this to my grandmother and the customers that inspire me to keep going
