We had the good fortune of connecting with Imani Murkison and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Imani, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
You absolutely get what you put into it. If you want to be successful in real estate, you have to sometimes work those long hours, or take phone the inconvenient phone calls. It’s all about what you are willing to do in order to succeed, and how hard you are willing to work. If it’s one thing my career has taught is that overnight success is short lived.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I sell residential real estate in Atlanta metro area. I work with buyers and sellers to achieve their real estate goals. I am extremely proud of how far I have come in such short time. I have made top producers 2 years in a row with only being licensed for 4 years. I truly believe what sets me apart is my tenacity to make the deal happen in a way that is comfortable for my client. I also work around the clock for my clients. I don’t mind staying up to 10pm negotiating, and making sure my clients can sleep soundly that night because the deal is worked out. Buying or selling a home is no easy process, so I want to make it as seamless as possible.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friend were to visit Atlanta, we of course would have to partake in the city’s night life. We are famous for our night life. I would take her to the different lounges and bars on Peter Street. Next day, I would take her hiking on Stone Mountain park. If we are looking to get something to eat, we will have to check out the different steak houses in Buckhead.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband deserves all praise and credit, after God of course. He has supported me in all aspects and allowed me to grow into the success I am today. He has always been my cheerleader and has inspired me to break my comfort zone to fly even further.
