We had the good fortune of connecting with Imani .L and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Imani, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
The full and honest process of getting to where I am now, as a person and with my business, might not be what you think.

It started with my mom becoming a full-time entrepreneur. December 2019. Me at the time being 12, and yes, I’m 15 now. It was my mom’s idea to have me think about what my business would be in August 2020, so I did. This business was not NATRI. This was a different business. However, it was somewhat of a process of becoming business-oriented. But all of that went to a pause…

In October 2020, I tried to kill myself… more than once over the course of 2-3 months. It didn’t just start like this off the bat. I started having suicidal thoughts in April 2020 and all the way to that point. I felt a lack of purpose in my life. That I truly meant something, if anything at all.

Around June/July of 2021, I was 13; not suicidal anymore, but I still had some on-and-off depression. But one day, I was throwing something away, and God gave me the most random and spectacular thought.
N A T R I.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I overcame challenges by learning to the best of my ability about the topic I’m going into for my business and myself. One of the best things to happen is the internet. There are billions of knowledgeable pieces for whatever puzzle of a business you are trying to build, but the best way to become great at anything you do is by working on yourself and your weaknesses. Because “you are the base of whatever you do” – by Imani/Me, and with that, you must make sure that your foundation is solid.

I’ve learned that the three things you need to succeed are great people, opportunities, and knowledge. Have the right people or sources to get you in the room. Knowledge; to understand the room. Lastly, the proper opportunities to help elevate you in the room.

About my brand; is that I want the best for people and the planet. For people, that’s by not having dangerous chemicals that might not kill you but surely aren’t helping you to live longer. For the planet, that’s having the materials to be reusable, recyclable, biodegradable, or compostable, and having clothing made from eco-friendly material.

About Imani, is that I used to be the person who seemed to be at the highest with whatever I may do, only to find out sometime later that I was at my lowest with being suicidal and depressed, feeling I wasn’t meant for anything in this world. But no matter everything I’ve been through. The blood of Jesus was always looking after me alongside my family. To help get me here… where I am, which is being truly happy, a child of God, and as always, a billionaire in the making. That wants Peace, Love, and Sustainability for our world. For people to have the utmost kindness, compassion, and understanding for themselves and others. To consider mental health as health care and to invest in themselves as they would toilet paper, stocks, and education.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Top 4 places to eat 1. Old Brick Pit BBQ; their Ribs are the bomb, so bomb I asked to go there for my 15th birthday. Did I mention all for a more than reasonable price!

2. Hattie B’s Hot Chicken; The chicken, fries, tea, and extra sides were great has the flavor I’d been looking for.

3. Grub Shack; they’re shrimp with corn, egg, and sausage with the utmost flavor with a little twist of heat on it.

4: Curry up now; I and my family ordered almost everything because we weren’t sure what to try first, and when I say EVERYthing was amazing… I mean EVERY-THING.

To hangout: ChocoLate Coffee; Was very chill, good coffee, and pasties

To have Fun: The Splatter Studio; Went on my birthday, and the whole family had a great time.

Places to check out: Georgia Aquarium; Very Tranquil and peaceful, is a certified autism center.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Forever 1st is God and Jesus for being repeatedly there for me even when I wasn’t open to them. For giving me good insight and a fulfilling mentality.

2nd is my family. My family has always been one of my strongest supporters, both for me and my brother. For us to become the best that we can be and one day… part of the billionaires club, and that was NOT a joke. But I expect the same thing… if not more.

3rd, I feel I got to give a shoutout to myself as well for being there for myself and not being afraid to look at my weaknesses and find ways to do better by utilizing my strengths. As well as knowing what I’m getting into by doing my diligence on whatever topic I’m pondering on.
