What should our readers know about your business?

ElevateLikeABoss Professional Writing & Consulting (formerly known as LikeABossResumes) offers various professional services to job seekers and entrepreneurs. Services include resume writing, mock interviews, career coaching, business consulting, editing and proofreading, notary public, and business writing. I started 17 years ago writing only resumes and cover letters, which has led me down other paths. I am honestly a jack of all trades, so it is only suitable that my business showcases that.

I believe I got to where I am business-wise due to my passion for writing, helping others, and my resourcefulness. The process has been a journey, but as an entrepreneur, you have to keep going despite the no’s or failures you will encounter. I have learned to use them as leverage for my success as well as give myself grace in the process. The lessons are always blessings, and I definitely embrace them now.

The foundation of ELAB is built on quality, professionalism, and authenticity. I heavily stand on those 3 principles. I take the time to build connections with clients, which is why many of them have become friends and even business colleagues. I get many clients that come to me overwhelmed and discouraged, and I quickly assess their goals and reroute those feelings with positivity, encouragement, and direction. A lot of us need the extra little push, and I am the push. At the end of the day, everything will always work out as it should. You have to remain positive and trust the process.

ELAB is about my clients. I do my best to keep my services affordable for every professional level. I am constantly researching and staying current on trends to give insight and guidance. My business is constantly growing and expanding in ways much bigger than me; I am so excited to see what the future holds.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My best friend and I love to be outside and eat, so we would hit Kennesaw Mountain for a hike—that is always a great workout. We would go to brunch at Sun in my Belly, Folk Art, and/or Grits & Eggs. I have wanted to do Spin Art Atlanta, so that would be on the list. I would definitely take her to the battery for a Braves game or hit Yard House for drinks. If it was, spring/summertime hit Piedmont Park for a festival because those are the best vibes. We would most likely make a stop by Ponce City Market, ride bikes down the belt line, and of course, take a trip outside of the city to Montaluce Winery.

I want to give a massive shoutout to God for giving me everything I need to manage this business. All of my thanks go to him. A special thank you to my Pastor, George Davis, at Impact Church in Jacksonville, FL. He has been a significant leader in my life who has taught me so much and given me the foundations and insight of being a kingdom entrepreneur. Also, thank my clients who share my services and content with others. ELAB is 98% referral based, and I cannot thank everyone enough for their continuous love and support.
