We had the good fortune of connecting with Ifeyinwa Eze and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ifeyinwa, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor to me is making sure my clients are happy and satisfied. Not only from me styling their hair, but from their full experience with me from customer service to up-keeping the location where I’m doing their hair, my energy and so much more.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m someone that goes out of my way to make sure people are happy. I invest a lot into my business and sometimes have put it over myself. I’m most proud of how far I’ve come. Even though I doubt myself sometimes, I know that God didn’t bless me with my talents for no reason and I overcame a lot of obstacles and I’m still standing strong. I got where I am today by investing into my business and never giving up on myself. It wasn’t easy but overtime, I learned how to adapt and take on ways that’ll be better for me and others. One thing I did a lot was pray because God never failed me.
I’ve also learned to become more organized, I’ve gained more interpersonal and marketing skills, and more while running my business. One of the lessons that I learned was to practice self care. As I stated before, I used to put my business before me at times and it affected my overall health. Thus, overtime I learned to balance everything well because if you’re not good mentally, emotionally, and physically, you won’t be able to give your all into anything.
I want the world to know that I’m someone that is very authentic and genuine. I make sure to display this within my business and to just know that I’m only going to get bigger and better from here!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I was born and raised in the Bronx so to me, there isn’t much to do here so I would take my best friend to areas in Manhattan or Brooklyn. I would definitely take her to some restaurants and lounges, biking, walking the Brooklyn Bridge, bowling, clubs, and more.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a shoutout to my parents for always supporting me from the very beginning. They invested time and money into to me whenever I needed it to make sure my business is up to par. They also always encourage me to be my best and never settle for anything less!
