Meet Iesha Baker | CEO & Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Iesha Baker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Iesha, other than deciding to work for yourself, what else do you think played a pivotal role in your story?
Other than deciding to work for myself, the most important decision I made was to stop waiting for perfection and start creating experiences with what I had. In event planning, things rarely go exactly as planned, so learning to adapt, trust my vision, and execute confidently even when everything wasn’t figured out was key. That mindset helped me build momentum, attract the right clients, and turn my passion into a thriving business.

What should our readers know about your business?
Be Amazing Events is more than just an event planning company. It’s an experience. We specialize in curating unforgettable moments, whether it’s a luxury networking mixer, a birthday celebration, weddings or any life events. What sets us apart is our attention to detail, our ability to bring visions to life, and the energy we bring into every room. I don’t just plan events, I create spaces where people connect, feel inspired, and walk away saying, ‘Wow, that was amazing.’
But it didn’t happen overnight. Building this business took faith, consistency, and a lot of trial and error. There were moments where I doubted myself, faced slow seasons, and had to learn how to lead with confidence even when things felt uncertain. The biggest challenge was learning to trust the process, stay committed, and not compare my journey to others. I realized that alignment matters more than timing, and once I leaned into my purpose, doors began to open.
One of the things I’m most proud of is how far Be Amazing Events has come, from vision boards to sold-out events, community partnerships, and working with clients I once only dreamed of. But what excites me most is what’s ahead. I’m passionate about creating meaningful experiences that leave lasting impressions.
If there’s one thing I want the world to know about me and my brand, it’s that we don’t just do events ,we create moments that matter. Be Amazing is not just a name, it’s a mindset. And through every event, I strive to remind people that life should be celebrated, beautifully, boldly, and with intention.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Absolutely! I wouldn’t be where I am without a village of support behind me. First and foremost, I have to shout out my close friends who believed in me even when I doubted myself. Their constant encouragement gave me the confidence to keep going, especially in the early days.
I also want to recognize the mentors and professionals in the event industry who poured into me whether through advice, collaboration, or simply leading by example. And honestly, I have to give a shoutout to every client who trusted me to bring their vision to life, their belief in my creativity and execution helped shape my brand and grow my business.
Lastly, books like The Alchemist and Atomic Habits helped shift my mindset and reminded me that success is a journey built on intention, purpose, and consistent effort. So many people and tools played a part in my story, and I’m deeply grateful.”
