We had the good fortune of connecting with Ida Mhunduru and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ida, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I believe my business was created to help people love themselves more, better, and intentionally every day.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I believe what sets me a part is my creativity and my ability to build community. I have always been creative. As a kid, you would find me writing stories, songs, dancing, However, it was as a young adult that I began to develop the ability to “connect”. This ability provided me with the ability to move in different communities and make friends no matter where I was. I learned to build communities by finding connection points that mattered to both the individual(s) and myself.

This has enabled me to not only create products, and services that will benefit people, but also to build communities filled with people open to listen and excited to hear.

It hasn’t been easy, but I have experienced ease. The reason why I have experienced ease on the way is because I am finally walking in my zone of genius, and I continually work on loving myself at each stage of the journey. So, even in the challenging moments, I have learned to have my own back, to support myself, forgive myself, and be patient with myself. This has brought a sense of ease along the journey which is why I am always taking about self-love.

The thing I want people to remember about my brand is that everything you see in my business is always going to point you towards love and acceptance toward you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Since I am a mom, I’ll share our favorite things to do. We would definitely start the morning at Flavor Rich in Suwanee. They have a Lobster and Waffle option on the menu that should have my face by it because I order it so much. We would then head to Peachtree Corners to spend the day. There is an incredible play area perfect for families and it’s absolutely spacious. That area also has quite a few restaurants and a movie theater, so if we decided to grab lunch or a movie everything is close in proximity. Last, I’ll say about it is that parking is plentiful and absolutely free.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My daughter. She came into this world and changed mine. I don’t think, no, I am sure that without becoming her mother, I would not have been able to become myself, who I really am.
