We had the good fortune of connecting with Hyjiah Conde and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hyjiah, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My thought & process with starting my own business was when I was 7yrs old what motivated me was the fact I was a victim of bullying was impacted my self-esteem & confidence. That would be absolutely the thought of me starting my own nonprofit which was geared to girls I wanted to let girls know we may have not walked the same walk but whatever they were going through that they weren’t alone in the process at all.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I run a nonprofit organization for youth girls to help build self-esteem, self-confidence what I learned over the years is everyone especially youth girls need so much confidence it’s challenging being a youth girl especially in today’s world, Girls need to support other girls uplifting them ,listening and just being a support system to one another. I became Philanthropist because I believe in giving it’s so important to Serve and give back to those in need which I do through my nonprofit organization which I mostly geared to Africa I have served in Conakry Guinee, Nigeria, South Africa & Ghana and still expanding to make sure I can do much as possible .Lessons I have learned is everyone won’t understand what God has called you to do & that’s ok ,My service and brand serves youths in USA & Africa we provide scholarships for education I have my own tuition fund for Africa I provide barrels of clothing, shoes and essential supplies I also have started my own school in Conkry Guinee which Will be up in running by 2022 I’m also an author as well which I wrote my first book which was published in 2017 . Nothing comes easy but I believe through every one’s story there is a reason in that reason find what your calling is.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting I would take her to Europe especially Belgium I would book our flight & yes pay for the both of us and hotel we are staying at a five star hotel because we both deserve the best this would be a 2 week trip we would get the best foods and go on a shopping spree all paid by me We will also go and visit the Eiffel Tower in Paris We will laugh and just enjoy one another’s friendship.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Let me be very transparent I would have to say My mother gets 100% recognition for being my soul support & mentor through the beginning to now. She had motivated me even when I didn’t have the motivation for myself the knowledge & encouragement my mother embedded in me.
