We had the good fortune of connecting with Hendricks and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hendricks, is there something you believe many others might not?
I don’t believe in the “fallback plan.” Although the intent means well, I believe that having a fallback can hinder you from fully focusing on your main goal. The only way to fully pursue your dreams is to do it scared with no safety net, just jump.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a creative,a leader, a visionary. My journey in music started in church as a child and grew into something bigger. I’ve opened up for and performed with some of your favorite R&B crooners. My career has given me an opportunity to travel and touch many people and I’m still going, still growing and still learning. I am currently working on a project that is set to release in late August. As an indie artist there will be a lot of trial and error but anything worth having will not be easy. The key is to finding people who believe you and share your same vision. Although music is my biggest passion and focus right now, throughout my journey, I’ve discovered a love for politics. During last years pandemic (that we’re currently still in) myself and some friends started a voters group called “Blacks Vote Smart” the groups purpose is to simply change the narrative, by educating our community. I would like the world to know that the Hendricks brand has more to offer than just music. You will be seeing a lot more from me whether its in music, politics, film,or fashion. Get use to hearing the name Hendricks.
