We had the good fortune of connecting with Hellen Tsibu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hellen, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I love this question. I’ve always wanted to help heal the world, my products are designed to promote results to those suffering from hair horrors. I use ingredients in my kitchen and ingredients we can pronounce to make my products. They are all natural & the way my business helps my community I show them how to make the hair teas and tonics at home. I know how important appearance is and how frustrating it can be when you’re not getting the results you’re yearning for. I’ve received loads of feedback on how my videos and tips have helped bring back women confidence because their hair is growing, and I love that feedback, it amazes me; because I use these tonics and teas on my hair and areas of concerns and I’ve achieved great results. I know the feeling when you use products or something you make and you start to see results, it’s a great feeling! I am grateful I am able to serve my community and continue to heal the world through my products.

What should our readers know about your business?
I launched my business during the pandemic. I just did it on a wimp; to see if I could actually do it. All my life I’ve always wanted to help others and bring joy into others lives. Pandemic happened and it’s like I was giving a second chance to pour into myself. I then started watching a lot of YouTube videos. I’ve always been obsessed with my hair. You know when the pandemic happen, I was finally able to invest in myself, invest in my looks and give myself the self care that I know I needed because I was always working. I’ve been working in customer service since I was 16 years old; I wanted to practice self-care and I’ll come home from work; I’ll always be super tired so I didn’t really have time to really you pour the love into myself. During the pandemic I was falling into depression and then I looked at myself and I said what is one thing that I can change about myself right here right now that would bring me absolute joy? I’ve always been obsessed with my hair. I’ve always wanted long thick & healthy hair. I told myself like You know I could definitely start working on my hair now. I love my natural hair and I feel like our hair is our crown; you know we have to take good care of it. We have to show our hair love. We have to listen to our hair and listen to her needs and wants . That’s when I stumbled upon all these natural remedies that you can make at home. You can use ingredients right from your kitchen and make amazing amazing products. It will promote hair growth. It will heal hair horrors like shedding, and breakage, baldness. I decided to test it on myself for months to see if it’s working; if it’s not working. I started noticing that my hair was getting thicker in 3-4 weeks of using my hair care products; The density; my hair was getting denser and the color changed it was getting darker . My hair was getting healthier as well. I’m not going to lie, you know, as time went on my business was slow you know I gave up on myself, gave up on my business, I guess I was just distracted but all the things I wasn’t paying attention to my business . I was still contemplating if I wanted to move forward in my journey. Ending of last year a shift happened I knew something positive was gonna happen in my life ; I didn’t know what it was, but i trusted it. It brought me calmness and peace, it wasn’t chaotic. I then posted a video of me showing my followers how to make hair growth tea using ingredients like cloves, onions, black rice, garlic, Etc. it didn’t get much play when I posted it on Instagram. I didn’t stress much about it because I knew at least 1-2 people will see it and will find it helpful. A few weeks passed, my followers was going up and then I realize that the video had gone viral. I was getting so many feedbacks like wow your video has helped me so much; I’ve seen growth and thickness in my hair. Just last year, i launched my hair tea/tonic line and it did amazing!!!! I made tonics for Alopecia, baldness, slow hair growth, dandruff, dry scalp, you name it; my products will heal and cure your hair concerns. It brought me joy because I knew I was helping women and even men gain their confidence again.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am honestly a homebody. I love being at home because it is my safe space. When I go out however, i love going to vegan restaurants; Every time I visit my sister in LA we’ll go hiking; do yoga; and go to best vegan spots in LA. I drink matcha lattes, i don’t really drink alcohol anymore; it makes me sick after a few drinks. Unless it’s a fruity sweet drink; then yes I am drinking it allll. Like I said i don’t go out as much, I tend to feed off others Energy and sometimes it can get draining; this is just something that’s always happened to me but never understood why. I am an Empath and so when I am out and someone around me in sad(; have anxiety, I could be happy one moment and then next moment I am sad and having anxiety as well. So I tend to stay to myself or go out in nature and just reflect and recharge.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Shout out too YouTube, that’s where I started learning and educating myself. I’ve read loads of books but the one that saved me is The Power Of Your Subconscious Mind. This book on the first read, changed my life and my way of thinking. I never knew putting yourself first was a form of self-care. I was able to train my conscious mind to feed information to my subconscious mind. Letting God take over my business was the best decision I’ve ever made. Letting him lead; has helped me tremendously; in my relationship with others. I am able to set boundaries and not feel bad about it. I am able to put myself first and my needs first; God is the CEO of my business and I am only working; learning; and doing everything he tells me to do.
