Meet Harper Leigh | Fragrance Founder, Confidence Coach & Beauty Bestie

We had the good fortune of connecting with Harper Leigh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Harper, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Honestly? I got tired of asking permission to be great. I adopted a new Motto: Ask for Forgiveness not Permission!
I’d spent years building everyone else’s dream — until I realized the only thing missing from the equation was me. I didn’t launch GLB & Co with a boardroom pitch and a PowerPoint. I launched it with a curling wand in one hand, a green juice in the other, and a deep belief that women deserve to feel seen, powerful, and damn near unstoppable.
At its heart, GLB is about confidence and consistency. About showing up for yourself every day — in mind, in body, and yes, in scent. That’s why fragrance is one of our core pillars. The right scent can shift your whole mood. It’s memory, attitude, and identity all wrapped up in a mist. Our Radiance Mist line is a celebration of that power: Sweet Flex (a fruity, feel-good explosion), Velvet Crème (soft, warm, effortlessly luxe), and Midnight Moxie (moody, mysterious, and made to leave an impression). These aren’t just body sprays — they’re your aura in a bottle.
Starting this business wasn’t just about launching products. It was about reminding women — myself included — that reinvention is a choice. One you can make at any moment.

What should our readers know about your business?
GLB & Co isn’t just a beauty brand — it’s a movement. A lifestyle. A little reminder that no matter what’s going on in your life, you can still wake up, mist on Sweet Flex, fix your crown, and get back to being her.
What sets us apart is that we’re not selling beauty as a fantasy. We’re anchoring it in consistency. Confidence doesn’t come from some airbrushed, unattainable ideal — it comes from showing up for yourself. Whether that’s sticking to your morning walk, slaying your twist-out, or taking a minute to spritz on Velvet Crème just because you deserve to smell rich in your own kitchen.
We built this brand around real women who want to look good, feel strong, and walk into the world with purpose. That’s why we focus on three things: fitness, fragrance, and fabulous hair. Because when you care for yourself from the inside and the outside, the glow hits different.
Now let’s be clear: it was not easy getting here. I’ve bootstrapped, burned out, and bounced back more times than I can count. I’ve cried over shipments, doubted launches, questioned if I was crazy for believing this could work. But every single time I wanted to quit, I came back to my “why”: I want women to stop waiting until they’re perfect to feel powerful.
I’m most proud of how far I’ve come — not just in business, but in becoming the woman I used to dream about. I didn’t just build a brand. I became the brand. A walking example of what happens when you decide to reinvent yourself on your own terms.
The biggest lesson? Keep going. It won’t always be glamorous, but consistency is the real luxury. And if I can go from second-guessing everything to launching Midnight Moxie and watching it sell out? You can do anything, too.
At the end of the day, I just want the world to know: GLB & Co is here to hype you up, hold you down, and make sure you always smell like the best version of yourself.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my bestie’s in town, I’m showing her the full Atlanta experience — a little glam, a little grit, and a whole lot of great food, culture, and energy.
Day 1: We’d check in at Bellyard Hotel — modern, beautiful, and close to everything. Then head to IWI Fresh for a facial and a little “detox your life” moment to kick things off.
Day 2: Start with brunch at The Garden Room — florals, cocktails, and the best lighting for selfies. Then walk around Piedmont Park and hit up SCAD FASH for some unexpected inspiration.
Day 3: Hair day — always. Appointments at The Dopest or DryBar depending on the vibe, then head to Ponce City Market for rooftop drinks at 9 Mile Station and a little shopping spree.
Day 4: Time to eat and explore. We’d grab lunch at Ticonderoga Club in Krog Street Market (underrated gem), then spend the afternoon at The High Museum. Dinner at Le Colonial — chic, upscale, and a change of pace.
Day 5: A little ATL soul. Brunch at Twisted Soul Cookhouse, shop local at The Village Market, then wind down at Parlor — cozy cocktails and cool people.
Day 6: Quick visit to The National Center for Civil and Human Rights (always powerful), then dinner at Delbar for Middle Eastern flavors that are chef’s kiss.
Day 7: Final brunch at Breakfast at Barney’s, a few spritzes of Midnight Moxie, and one last stroll through the BeltLine before hugs, selfies, and airport tears.
Atlanta’s not one thing — that’s what makes it magical. It’s soulful, stylish, global, and grounded. And we’re gonna experience all of it.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Absolutely—this shoutout is deeply personal to me.
First and foremost, I want to give all glory to God. Everything I’ve built, everything I’ve overcome, every door that’s opened—it’s because of divine grace, favor, and timing. I’m just walking in the purpose He gave me.
I also want to recognize J Que Ellis, founder of Body Loving Skincare, who has not only inspired me as a beauty entrepreneur but has also shown me what it looks like to lead with integrity, passion, and purpose in this industry.
Of course, I have to shout out my mama, who’s been my anchor and biggest cheerleader through every season. Her strength and honesty are unmatched—and a lot of who I am comes straight from her prayers and her presence.
And to everyone who’s supported me—whether you found me during my 100lb weight loss journey, watched me slay wigs and serve as a celebrity stylist, or joined me on this fragrance founder path—thank you. Your support, encouragement, shares, comments, and belief in me mean more than you know.
This journey hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it. And I’m just getting started.
