We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Tucker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hannah, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success & brand is my mother, she saw every inch of talent in me when it came down to Makeup even when I couldn’t see it. March, 2018 she passed away and I honestly couldn’t see myself moving forward in ANY aspect of my life, one day I just sat back & re-evaluated my entire situation and in that exact moment I heard my mother speak to me,“you’re going to be something big one day” and from that point forward I NEVER looked back.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The thing I am most proud of with being in the makeup industry is my confidence, it’s not easy being confident in your work when you have thousands of ladies doing the same thing you’re trying to do & things get competitive. I’ve gotten to where I am today simply off the strength of consistency, marketing & also just being me with my clients at all times, I’ve learned that a great convo and a beat face always wins! Getting here was definitely not easy and I’m not even CLOSE to where I want to be , I overcame my challenges the only way I knew to overcome them which is prayer & a strong mindset, not letting the negativity take over. The main lesson that I have learned is that “THERE IS ROOM FOR EVERYONE” don’t get caught up in your head too much about what everyone else has going on worry about yourself. I want everyone to know that I didn’t just wake up and decide to do makeup “just for money” or “just because” I did this for a purpose a reason and my moms legacy, so in the end when it’s all said and done I kept my promise.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
My bestie is in town and here’s the itinerary for the week!

Mon- Galleria ( 1st day in the city & shopping is always fun💓 )

Tue- Birria Taco Spot ( TACO TUESDAY! Can’t beat tacos & happy hour 🍻)

Wed- Ipic ( Go see a good movie at THE BEST movie theater in Houston!)

Thur- Bar hop in Midtown!

Fri- The Address (one of the HOTTEST clubs in Houston)

Sat- area29 ( lit club in Houston ! Mostly where the celebs be!)

Sun- North Italia ( AMAZING brunch spot! )

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a huge shout-out to God! My biggest supporter and provider, without him I am NOTHING. I also want to give a shout-out to my mother and my grandmother without you telling me to tap into my talent with makeup mommy I would have never knew how blessed and highly favored I am and I promise to forever keep your legacy alive, granny if it were not for you I don’t even think I’d be standing I would’ve crumbled a long time ago you’re truly my back bone. Shout-out to my spouse you’ve always supported me and pushed me to always be the best, no settling & shout-out to my beautiful clientele without y’all I would not be here and I love every last one of you from the beginning to the end forever & ever I love y’all! 🦋
