Meet Hannah Lori | Actress

We had the good fortune of connecting with Hannah Lori and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Hannah, how has your work-life balance changed over time?
I think that for the most part, I have always balanced it pretty well. However, there were times where I would get too far in my head and think about how I’m not as far in my career as I want to be. I would hear stories about people who were basically homeless before they made it big or they risked everything for success and I would start thinking that I had to do that too. It wouldn’t take long before I would realize that I don’t want to be that way. I don’t know why people glamourize those stories. It’s a stupid thing to do. I think family, friends, and hobbies are just as much a part of success as your actual job/career. Nobody on their deathbed wishes they had of spent more time on their career. They always wish they had more time with family and friends.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’ve learned that you can’t place your value in the acting industry. Its an art which means its subjective. You can pour out your soul on a project and people not like it. There are too many things out of your control in this career for you to let others determine whether you’re any good or not. Only you know how much work you put into it and only you can truly be proud of your work. Once you stop letting others control your feelings, you suddenly will create more freely.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The Georgia Aquarium is one of my favorite places ever. Its an all day thing too. I love hiking so Stone Mountain would be on the list too. And one of my favorite places to eat is Noodle in Decatur. After we ate there, we’d walk to Homegrown Decatur and buy some cool local art.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My best friend, Kaitlin Hodson. She is also an actress and she has always helped me get out my depression episodes when things are getting hard. She understands my struggles in a way most others don’t get and that really helps.
